A tips of mine from 18 months ago has been closed twice by sun20121029. The first time was for being "not clear, or is incomplete and has not been phrased in a way that allows it to be fully understood," the second for being being "spam, abusive or otherwise inappropriate."
I would have taken the issues up with sun20121029 to see what they objected to so I could have fixed it but they seem to have disappeared. And there isn't any record of the complaint on the article itself. Can someone who knows about these things give the article a look and tell me what I've done wrong? As soon as I know I'll go and fix it and resubmit it.
The tip is here.
Thanks,
Ash - the confused.

Thanks Richard, thought it was strange that it happened just after I stuck my head above the parapet after being away 15 months.

Yeah, we missed your wise deliberations on all things C++.

I'm not sure they were wise, but thanks for missing them anyway!

Yes - we had a rogue account go on a reporting spree. The account, and the reports have been removed.

Article/Blog in question: Developing for .NET 2.0 in 2012[^]
This particular post appears to be subtle advertising for the OPs place of business. I'm not sure whether this is acceptable or not, but felt obligated to pose the question.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

As it's a blog entry, I'd be tempted to let this one through.

That was the reason I was unsure about it.

Not an appropriate place to post that (granted I didn't read it all), but not spam or abuse. Just a new(ish) user getting his bearings.

Incidentally, both your recent reported question were deleted by me. And I found that out when I came here to report them.

I'm not sure you should delete them - just flag them as spam and report them here - that way others can see and decide if they deserve a spammer report on the poster. Which helps to get rid of them all the quicker.
If the text of the offending messages is deleted, then we have to assume that whoever did it is truthful. While I'm sure you wouldn't try any such shenanigans, there are a few people I wouldn't trust...

I was going to ask this very question - if we should delete these spams or not? I always thought why should be bother the admins here if we can help them just by a click. But your post has a point and I won't be deleting them from now. Thanks!
