This pretty much means you don't have ReportViewer installed.
Read this[^].

tanks
But I put (copy) this file in this folder : Microsoft.ReportViewer.WinForms.dll
,But again, this error shows.
please help because I need to install the program with the right tools like Crystal Report ...
|
|
|
|
|
The error sayd Microsoft.ReportViewer.WebForms.dll is missing.. Notice WebForms. You've used WinForms instead. Judging from the error syntax your project is a WebForms ASP.Net prject.
You should use the right DLL.
|
|
|
|
|
On top of copying in the WRONG .DLL file, there may be other .DLL's that one relies on which you haven't considered. You cannot just copy whatever .DLL file it says it can't find into your project folder and expect it to work. More than likely, you'll be missing other dependent .DLL's that you won't get an error on.

Hello there.
So, I decided that understood core of .NET. Concretely I want understood .NET functional model step by step.
I have several books about this, I search questions in google and etc...
So, general concept of the .net framework is like this:
1. We write code into high level language;
2. after this language compiler, compiles light level code into IL code. That is called managed module. Managed module contains: PE32 Header, CLR Header, Metadata, IL.
3. After this, AL.EXE ( assembly linker tool ) merges that modules into assembly ( DLL or EXE ) and adding manifest that describes Assembly.
In finish there loads CLR and executes code. But, my question is around managed module.
So, in some book are written that, managed module is a standard PE32 file, In other books written that managed module have a .netmodule extension.
So there is some misunderstanding, what exactly file extension have managed module when it generates language compiler ?
Sorry for my bad English and please help me to understood this point.

Unless you're doing something funky, you'll never have to deal with netmodules directly. I haven't in the last 11 years of using .NET.
But if you want to dig into it further, read this[^].

Yea but, It is good when you distinctly understood how does .NET engine works in details.

Hi friends, I have one web service it works fine in localhost when I uploaded in server I got tested I am unable to see that and I got Internal Server Error 500.
What may be the fault?
I just published the WebService and hosted in server through FTP and later I checked I am getting above error.
Please help me.

Error 500 is the generic failure code because something went wrong with a component, not with the web server itself. In the case of a web service, it usually means your code threw an unhandled exception.
|
|
|
|
|
When the error is 500, that means it's an internal error, meaning internal to the service - the service threw an exception that was not caught.
Look in the Windows event logs on the service to see what went wrong.
Also, try:
- Go to menu Tools/Internet Options in your IE.
- Click on the Advanced tab, uncheck "Show friendly HTTP error messages" option and click Ok.
- Try accessing your web page again. Now you will see much more meaningful error message which will help you to troubleshoot the problem.
Other few possibilities:
There might be an issue in the way you have hosted your service. May be multiple config files?
Further, since you have not shared the type of webservice or what framework application it is, it can also be a cross domain policy issue after hosting on other server.

Hi
I have created a crystal report using Visual Studio 2005 C#/Asp.net, i have output like good average poor. I need to replace those with images or tick (right) mark using formula fields like
if{Read}="Good" then
"some image / tick mark"
else if {Read}="Average" then
"some image / tick mark"
else
"some image / tick mark".
If anybody knows, please reply me.
Thanks in advance

You can use conditional formula for the same.
Example: Add a Conditional Graphic[^]
BTW, this is not .NET Framework related question as such to be posted here in this section.

In the old days you could add a simple setup project to youe VS solution, add project output, set some properties and you had a usable setup project with no problems.
Nowadays - the setup build always complains about a mismatch in the target version (no matter what I do) - it often can't find some dependencies and usually needs to be deleted and done from scratch every time I do an update to the main project.
It used to be so simple.

See if this works:
1. Select installer project
2. Click on the icon at the top "Launch Conditions Editor"
3. Under Launch Conditions, Select ".Net framework" on the right
4. In "Properties" Select "Version" you will see a drop down.
5. Change the framework to your target framework
Try!

Brilliant, thank you very much. Why has endless google searching never provided such a clear answer?
Once again, thank you very much

Can anyone suggest a tool that operates similar to the Split Container tool? According to Microsoft[^] the SplitContainer tool still has an unfixed bug as of VS2005. I am using VS2010 and it's still not fixed keeps causing program to crash on every build.
Is there another tool that does something similar to what the Split Container does without the MS bug?
All I want to create in my VB form is a header, footer, and contents in the body so I can be able to dock them all.
Thanks.

You might get a better response by posting this in the correct forum[^].

Hi Guys,
I have a small big question.
What does the
using System
using System.Data
actually do when a program is executing?
To the best of my knowledge it loads a DLL related to those namespaces into the memory and then accesses the methods, but recently I came to know that <pre lang="c#">using</pre> tells the system to use the namespace and access the methods, but how is it possible to use the namespace and access the methods without actually loading the DLL into program execution memory? This recently came up in a discussion with a team member and he shattered my belief in .NET
