very true I try to hide them but I need the traffic, what little it gets, I will probably get rid of the one that haven't been getting me hits though,

I get an error message box with these two lines.
Error Loading Character: Genie
The Microsoft Agent Script requires the character(s): Genie
What's a Microsoft Agent Script? It sounds delicious.
Never heard of the character Genie. Naw, wait a minute. Visions of Robin Williams are appearing in my head.

Hi all,
I've just released the first version of my batch image processing application written in C#. It would be great if someone could give it a test for me. The website is here:

Any comments (good or bad) on the application or website would be great.
Thanks in advance

Here's my customary "plea for feedback" to check bttlxeForum is heading down the right track. for those that don't know, bttlxeForum is a free time project I've been working on for the past year now that takes Chris and Uwe's CodeProject forums and makes them into a fully featured standalone forum solution with all of the features you'd expect them to have.
Since the last time I asked for feedback there have been quite a few major changes to the software, more significantly: private messaging, user groups and group permissions, enhanced forum categories, real-time stats, and a handful of new forum view types (dynamic memory, threaded, threaded expanded and threaded dynamic).
Thanks to all of the CPians who have helped with ideas, suggestions and testing in the past and to the people[^] all around the globe who have been working with me for the past two months by testing every aspect of the forums to death and back. I'm not looking for more people to enter the beta test now, unless you want to, but I would appreciate it if you could spare a few minutes and head on over to the forums, give it a look over, and tell me[^] if you have any ideas or suggestions.
You can see the forums here: http://www.battleaxesoftware.com/forums/[^].
Note: The poll insertion wizard is currently proof-of-concept but everything else is functional.
Thanks.

I was just looking at your forums, and reading your site. The forums look really cool, great job! I thought I would notify you of a typo on the front page:
"Welcome to the new look Battleaxe Software web site Use the tabs at the top of the page to move between sections, and then use the tabs on the right of each page to view the specific content you are looking for."
The first sentence is missing the period.

Thanks for the heads up, but I'll be pulling the site in a few days anyway just as soon as I can finish the new one for bttlxeForum. The company itself is now non-trading, but I'll keep the domain on for e-mail and the forum software.

Hello,
the development of my "ReSysInfo" System Information Viewer has finished. Now I need many many beta-testers.
Download the beta from:
http://home.tiscali.de/reichl/download/resysinfo_setup.exe[^]
Even if you don't find any bug, I would like to know on which system it has been tested (perhaps send me a compressed generated system report?)
Thank you all in advance!

Version 1.7 of HPS HwndSpy is now available for downloads and testing at
http://www.highplains.net/HwndSpy.htm[^]
HPS HwndSpy is a programming utility that allows developers to visually locate and inspect windows that are currently being displayed. When the cursor is moved over a window, HPS HwndSpy will display various attributes about the window, including its size, location, class, and style. This is very useful in analyzing windows in a deeply layered GUI application. HPS HwndSpy is an invaluable tool for developers doing maintenance on GUI applications, where they first need to understand the windows hierarchy and how the windows are structured.
HPS HwndSpy optionally displays a graphical tree view of all current
windows in the system. You can click on any of these window items to
visually locate a window and display its properties.
HPS HwndSpy works with both standalone and browser-based user interfaces. For browser windows that are displayed by Internet Explorer or Microsoft's web browser control, the text, url, and tags of the HTML elements will be displayed. This includes the text of INPUT fields such as passwords.
Key Features
- Window properties view - displays important properties of window
and browser UI elements, including size, location, class, decoded
styles, tags, and urls - Automatic updating - no need to drag/drop "finder tool", window
properties are updated automatically as mouse cursor is moved - Window tree view - optionally displays graphical tree view of all
current windows in system - Outlining - optionally outlines window whose properties are being displayed
- Find window - visually find any window from its handle
Please submit bug reports, comments, or suggestions to support@highplains.net.

I'm looking for people to hammer on this on a bit:
http://awasu.net/beta7[^]
This is the first release candidate of Awasu, an RSS reader. If you don't know what RSS is, it's an XML protocol that Awasu uses to monitor news sites and blogs for you, letting you know when new stuff appears.
There are a lot of readers out there but this one has a bit extra in that it has a lot of support for scripting. So you can write a script (in any language) and feed the results back into Awasu, thus letting you monitor anything at all e.g. databases, web sites, a running application even.
Feedback wrt to the plugins would be much appreciated. Also any details of OS's that you are running on would be great - I've only been able to test on XP Pro and 2K Pro.
The address above contains a bunch of screenshots and more info on it all.
