i couldn't find any way...
and i wanted to have some standard way to get access to all these web based server.

well thats just it
each portal has a different method for access the email

thats possible only if u have the POP3 server access,
CodeTheDreams();

Even i was beleiving that but then how many
application have access to AOL,YAHOO and
Hotmail web servers.
As i mentioned application like
AOL2POP(name indicates it converts AOL mails some how to POP ),ePrompter,
IZYMail etc. doing such stuffs.
So there must be some way.
By the way thankx

because each has its own method for transferring data
as i indictaed earlier, hotmail uses an asp page
take alook at the exe file for mailwasher (here is a section i just copied and pated
http://oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdataÿÿÿÿ1http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.aspSVèiêóÿ‹Ú‹ðºX‹Æè†èÚœ
there WONT be a single way to get data off each of the mail services
without resorting to pop3 and guess wot...they don't supply it
so you will have to implement each seperately
not the news you wanted to hear...but thats life

Thanks for the link u copy/paste from the mailwasher(is it the same as webwasher u wrote in first message?).
I got the direct url from Outlook Express account property box
which is http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp.When we run this url in browser it asks for username and password ,but when we supply it,it is
not authenticating.It might be using some encryption which seems obvious from your link specified.
Yea i know there will be different ways for all these web servers.
But there are ways
Thanks Bryce

Hi,
I am using class derived from CTreeCtrl. Tree Nodes hold string values. I want to associate a value (hidden) with every Node, so whenever I click on a Node I want to get that value also.
Anybody knows how to do that.

See CTreeCtrl::SetItemData, CTreeCtrl::GetItemData. Data in your case may be a pointer to dynamically allocated string.

Hi C++ gurus!
I'm a newbie in Visual C++. I wrote a small proggy that catches WM_QUERYENDSESSION message and then kills particular console application (Apache server) and then terminates. Most of the time it works OK, but sometimes it appears that Windows sends WM_QUERYENDSESSION message to Apache earlier than to my C++ app. Thus Windows screams that it can't terminate console app.
The question: Is there any way to change the order in which Windows sends WM_QUERYENDSESSION message to all running apps prior to restart/shutdown? Or maybe there's some other trick I can use to intercept WM_QUERYENDSESSION message.
Thanks a bunch!

No. You must synchronize the end of the applications by yourself.

Can anyone help me out a little by pointing me to some links concerning skinable application using Win32. I've noticed one article on this site but I've only find one other one using yahoo search. If anyone has any good resources I would be very greatful if they shared them with me. Thanks.

Hi,all
In my application I am using the Class objects ass follows
//In MainOne.h
Class CMainOne
{
public:
class CSomeA
{
public:
int nXA;
int nYA;
};
class CSomeC
{
public:
int nXC;
int nYC;
SomeA *objSomeA;
};
SomeC * objSomeC;
};//Class CMainOne
//In MainOne.cpp
CMainOne::MyFunction
{
objSomeC=new CSomec[10];
for(int nIndex=0;nIdex<10;nIndex++)
{
objSomeC[nIndex].objSomeA=new CSomeA[10];
}
}
can any one help me how can I delete these created objects with new operator by using delete operator.
Note:I tried like this
delete [] objSomec->objSomeA
(which was "objSomeC[nIndex].objSomeA=new CSomeA[10];"
delete [] objSomeC
(which was objSomeC=new CSomec[10];)
still i am getting memory leak;
please help me
regrads

for(int nIndex=0;nIndex<10;nIndex++)
{
delete [] objSomeC[nIndex].objSomeA;
}
delete [] objSomeC;
If you want to do it at the object's destruction, you might use this variant:
class CMainOne
{
public:
class CSomeA
{
public:
int nXA;
int nYA;
};
class CSomeC
{
public:
~CSomeC()
{
delete [] objSomeA;
}
int nXC;
int nYC;
CSomeA *objSomeA;
};
CMainOne();
~CMainOne()
{
delete [] objSomeC;
}
CSomeC * objSomeC;
};
CMainOne::CMainOne()
{
objSomeC=new CSomeC[10];
for(int nIndex=0;nIndex<10;nIndex++)
{
objSomeC[nIndex].objSomeA=new CSomeA[10];
}
} with the usual checkins i've omitted for brevity.

If you are just doing:
delete []objSomec->objSomeA
delete []objSomec
then you are missing out deleting the other 9 'new CSomeA's. That is, you allocate 10 CSomec's, and for each of these, you allocate 10 CSomeA's - you need to delete these 10 as well, the delete[] will correctly delete the 10 CSomeCs, but it wont delete the 10 CSomeA's that are embedded in each CSomeC. To do this, you should add a destructor to CSomeC that has the same loop as above, but calls delete[] objSomeC[nIndex].objSomeA

Since MFC7 CHtmlView has it's own implementation of colecontrolsite, so usually you don't need to implement it on your own. Instead, for simply disabling the context menu, implement onshowcontextmenu and return S_OK. So your xontext menu is not shown any more.

How Can I use a obj file instead of cpp file? Not Project->Setting->Link->Obj/Lib Modules, just using some code in source file.
|
|
|
|
|
I think you will find "pragma" (a group of compiler directives) has absolutely nothing to do with your issue.
I think you will also find that linkage of external modules requires a library format, but you can create your own library which contains nothing but the single object file you have in mind.

Everytime I post something on here, I get the greatest advice. So I'm here to abuse the system again!
Lets say I have a dialog I created.."We'll call it 'Dialog'"
Is there some way before I call Dialog.DoModal() that i can preset what "icon" i want to load at a specific spot
for example.. i have 4 icons, each of them having a number. (ie, 1 icon has the numerical 1 on it, another has a numerical 2 on it, ect)
I want to be able to load the icon based on a selection a user made on a previous window.
as an example:
GET NUMBER
IF NUMBER == 1
Dialog.icon=icon001.ico
ELSE IF NUMBER == 2
Dialog.icon=icon002.ico
END IF
Dialog.DoModal()

In the header file for the dialog, add the member (in the public section, or make an accessor function for it):
CIcon m_YourIcon;
Then, when you know what icon you want:
char * a_pszIcon = NULL;
if( Number == 1 )
{
a_pszIcon = "icon1.ico";
}
else
if( Number == 2 )
{
a_pszIcon = "icon2.ico";
}
Dialog.m_YourIcon.Attach( (HICON)LoadImage( NULL, a_pszIcon, IMAGE_ICON, 0, 0, LR_LOADFROMFILE ) );
Now, add a WM_INITDIALOG handler for your dialog, and in the handler put the code:
SetIcon( m_YourIcon, TRUE );
SetIcon( m_YourIcon, FALSE );
That's all you should have to do...if I understood the question correctly.
