I'm having the same issue. Did you get your article type changed? Is this the appropriate way to make this happen?
-Thanks!

Ya i have been told that Sean will change the type since he got access for that..
|
|
|
|

Sadly even I do not have the ability to change the type. If it is an alternative to an article it defaults to the article type with no option to change it.
In this case I would be happy to repost it for you as a Tip, if that would be agreeable. (we are also currently discussing ways internally of making this system better)
Thanks,

I'm trying to submit an article.
The template asks for ...
- Technology:
- Section:
- SubSection:
But ... I canot find definitions of: Technology, Section, SubSection
In the template, "License:" has a hyperlink. Why can't Technology, Section, SubSection?????
Can anyone tell me where-to-find the possible choices for each?
- Technology:
- Section:
- SubSection:
Arrrrrgggghhhh!

Do you mean this page[^]?
One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

Nope - No Joy
From the SubmissionTemplate - I'm looking for the possible choices for?
- Technology:
- Section:
- SubSection:

Technology is really just what tags you wish you put on your article so that people can search for your article by tag on CodeProject. Also, you can see all the possible sections from here: http://www.codeproject.com/script/Content/SiteMap.aspx[^]
Please let me know if you have further questions.

Thank you for your response.
Actually this was not my first article. So I think it can be a sporadic issue.
Same as you, I had problems with images too - although they were ok in preview.
The links to them were broken and I also did not see them as uploaded when I then wanted to correct the article. So I re-uploaded them again.
The zip file for download was in the system (I saw it among uploaded files) but when you clicked on it in the article the download did not start.
It looks my download problem is already fixed. It started to work (after several hours) so I thought maybe the administrator read this entry and fixed.

I have my spanish blog but in many situations I post some items in English. With the category "CodeProject". So, I apply the rss feed on this category http://www.cmaswp.com/category/codeproject/[^]
My post have 1009 words.
The problem yesterday was I published a blog post and codeproject consumes that, but post as Article. Obviously the community closes because is not a Code project article.
How can I publish my technical blog here right now?

I recently posted that I was going to write an article on applying LESS to ASP.NET MVC to produce a faked up implementation showing how Code Project could look as a website if it followed the Metro Design Language. Well, my direction has changed with this.
It strikes me that it might be interesting if people could actually see the evolution of a site from the design phases through to the actual implementation. To that end, I'm going to be detailing a fictitious set of design reviews that I (the designer) will be having with Chris (the owner). This will, of course, result in some prototypes being produced and it is these prototypes that I will be demoing as a "beta" of the site (along with the wireframes/mockups).
I hope this meets with your approval. It's a big project and it's going to take a long time to write the article, but I hope that the end result is illuminating.

Not sure whether "LESS" here refers to Less.js (its .NET port ?), the "dynamic css/stylesheet language," or to some other entity/concept/principle: can you clarify ? Yes: I am "way behind the times."
In any case, what you propose sounds fascinating; I'll look forward to reading/studying whatever it is !
