I do a 'search this forum' for 'Mars' and select sort in descending order.
I then pick the reult I want to goto and it displays the page as all posts expanded.
When I correct it to 'normal' and click update it takes me back to the 1st page of that Forum.
It's quite annoying.

I post often from my phone, and I've noticed I tend to make lots of mistakes when doing that (even with phone autocorrect enabled). I don't observe these mistakes immediately, if at all. However, when posting from my computer I try as hard as possible to be as correct as I can.
This being said, could an icon be introduced next to the post subject (or poster name, or anywhere relatively visible), showing whether a user has posted from a mobile device or computer?

I also think we should have a checkbox with "I was drunk at the moment of this post" (default checked) when posting or replying to messages

In DD's case, you can just remove the checkbox and permanently enable that behavior.

Maybe a version of a CAPTCHA test that would act as a surrogate sobriety test?

It's funny that I give two suggestions, one serious and one not, and you both decide to tackle the not serious one, while not mentioning anything about the other!
Great management skills!
Also, to respond in the same manner (i.e. about the CAPTCHA test): The purpose is not to stop our members from Posting Under the Influence, but rather to let the others know that it was Posted Under the Influence

Chris gets all the blame for this one, I'm afraid. I'm just a member, not management.

Isn't there email software that requires you to solve a simple maths problem before it will send your email to try to stop you sending whilst drunk?

The problem is that it's not my problem solving that suffers after a few. It's my discretion.

How are you going to know that a post was made from a mobile device?
Is the version of the site being viewed or the browser used enough to tell you that?
I used to use the mobile version on my phone, then switched to the full version to do something now cannot work out how to get back to the mobile version.
Presumably because there are no ads on the mobile version and I keep clicking on the top banner ad on my phone now by mistake.

At the bottom left of each page is a "Mobile" link.

I just went to the site on my phone to check that out and it was already displaying the mobile version.
It most definitely was not doing that this morning.
I decided against switching to the full version to try to switch back again.

Can we have some css amendments in the website for better user experience ?
- Nice looking border and box shadows.
- Some margin and padding from the border.
- Every form inside any page like the forms for posting questions, messages, replies should have some borders.
These changes will help to make Code Project a brand new and eye catching website...
Thanks...

Hello,
I've got two downvotes for a message that I answered in the Lounge, truly I did not remembered which message it was and I followed the link in the "Latest reputation events table" to find that message.
The first strange thing is that the complete thread was moved to another forum and the "Latest reputation events table" had not been updated. (here's the supposed bug).
The second strange thing is that when I've seen that the post was in the C#forum, I've seen that I've got only one downvote, not two...
Is it possible that when a post is being moved the votes get doubled?
Regarding this last part I've seen that I've got two downvotes to two different messages in the same thread, my fault...
Best regards!

Not sure what you mean when you say the Latest reputation events table wasn't updated...

I mean that the link in the "Latest reputation events table" still points to the Lounge, where the original message was before being moved to the C# forum.
