How can I create mobile login in andriod 2.2,coding
|
|
|
|

You can create it the same way you create it in any other client-server application (yes, I'm assuming you're connecting to a remote host):
- Take the username and password
- Check them against the server (but please, do so securely. If not possible to use encryption, at the very least apply some hashing to your user's info)
- If server responds ok, the user is logged. If not, the user is not logged
The specifics are up to you, and I strongly suggest you do your own research for them.
Again, I'm downvoting your question for lack of any provided details whatsoever, and apparent lack of any effort on your part

I am a c# programmer. I have currently installed and integrated Monodroid into my Visual Studio and all going good. Recently(yesterday), we had a chat in our office and another programmer suggested Xamarin. We both did enough research. Which technology do you guys suggest? Is there any other better & competitive solution? Thanks.

For .Net developers, Xamarin Mono Android is the best option. There is no reason I see why to use Davlink/Java when we can do the same thing in C#.
The only thing to note is the developer license when it comes installing into physical device. There is a 399 USD developer license cost which is not a big money when it comes to the ease to .Net developers to use their existing library to create mobile application rapidly.
Have a look at my latest Monodroid application in C#.

I second Sandip's suggestion to consider Xamarin.
But keep in mind that MonoDroid doesn't support every Android API (but it's pretty close). MonoDroid will always be a version or two behind the latest version of Android, but for most devs, the convenience and productivity gain of using VStudio will outweigh the lack of API coverage. Also, from my testing, MonoDroid doesn't visibly impact the app's performance.

Thanks Ravi,
We ended up with bending towards Monodroid.

Very happy to hear that! If possible, please keep the CP community updated with your experiences (good and bad) with it.

I found Whatsapp-API[^]
I tested the sample, really it's very SIMPLE to use (unlike WCF after using for two years I still prefer good old socket) - but it charges "USD59 for 1000 credits" (I am still trying to clarify and confirm if one credit = one message)
But I want to ask, anyone has a better recommendation?
Thanks

Firs of all - WCF, Socket are nothing related to WhatsApp-Api.
They used simple http post for communicating through the gateway.
This approach is very common and widely used for all SMS Service Provider. The reason is to give ease to developer to use HTTP Post rather than web service, WCF and others.
Second, credit doesn't mean number of sms. As SMS are sending worldwide, charges are different for each carrier. One sms can charge .4 or .5 or .8 whatever it is but in credits.
Last question, is selecting service provider. This thing you can google to get the best.
Don't always go for chaeaper SMS Provider. No guarantee in delivery. Better to choose well known SP. I use clickatell for many years and they seems to have good delivery.

"Firs of all - WCF, Socket are nothing related to WhatsApp-Api."
I know it has nothing to do with socket/WCF and it's not what I asked, did you read the question?
"Second, credit doesn't mean number of sms."
I check - 1000 credits = 1000 whatsapp msg.
What SMS?! Again you read the question?
"This thing you can google to get the best."
Dude, I didn't come here for recommendation to use Google!?

Good thanks. I'm not familiar with SMS security however - do you know if SMS are encrypted like HTTPS?

Hello all!
This is Leor Zahavi. I want to learn mobile application development. I am just a beginner and having a very little knowledge about mobile application development. So please suggest me some tutorial and other sources from where, I can learn about UIT and SDK platforms.
Thanks

There's tons of information and lots of free tools available. But first I recommend you pick a platform. HTML5/JS, Android, iOS or WinRT? There are others, but these are the big players.

We desperately need some help. We're having some terrible problems with a touch icon for Android. Everything works perfectly on an iPhone but we've been battling with Android for over a week and it absolutely refuses to work. The touch icon created on one Android appears pixelated and on another it appears very small.
Following Apple's guidelines we created the following touch icons - I've given the full URLs for the files so that you can see them - they're publicly available on a live web server:
http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png
http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-57x57-precomposed.png
http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-72x72-precomposed.png
http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-114x114-precomposed.png
http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-144x144-precomposed.png
As per Apple guidelines, each icon is the sise described in its filename.
The mobile version of our system
http://www.faclair.com/m/[^]
has the following HTML:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd" >
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" href="http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png" />
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" sizes="57x57" href="http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-57x57-precomposed.png" />
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" sizes="72x72" href="http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-72x72-precomposed.png" />
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" sizes="114x114" href="http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-114x114-precomposed.png" />
<link rel="apple-touch-icon-precomposed" sizes="144x144" href="http://www.faclair.com/apple-touch-icon-144x144-precomposed.png" />
We're aware that some versions of Android require the full URL to be specified so we've done that. We're also aware that some versions of iPhone and Android can't read the sizes attribute so we tried a default apple-touch-icon-precomposed.png file at both 144x144 and 57x57 but neither worked.
We suspect that Android might have some incorrect caching behavior because nothing we do can make Android change the favicon it is using (clearing the browser cache doesn't help). Even changing to a completely different image in the png file on the server it appears to be impossible to make Android change the image it uses - deleting the webpage link on the home screen, deleting the browser favorite, clearing the browser cache and re-creating the home screen link it still uses the same icon regardless of the icon file on the server.
The application has a favicon and we suspect that Android may be incorrectly using that instead of one of the touch icon files.
What makes the situation worse is that when we first tried this we didn't follow Apple's naming conventions and it worked on an iPhone and one out of two Androids. We changed to comply with Apple's recommendations in the hope of getting it to work on both Android devices. The above works on the iPhone but neither of the Android phones (on one the icon ix pixelated and on the other it is very small).
All devices are physical devices - not emulators.
We'd be very grateful for any help.

The web server this is hosted on is IIS.
One device is Kernel version 2.6.29 zte-kernel@Zdroid-SMT (An orange San Francisco - Baseband version P729BB01 Firmware version 2.1-update1) using the native browser.
The other device is 2.6.32.9-perf root@dell104 #1 build nr froyo.xwjpj - on this device both the native browser and Opera Mini were tried.
