It would be nice to be able to vote while having pressed reply, so you can vote/reply in one go...

Hello There,
I tried to search a facility to download an article so that I can read it offline i.e. when I am not connected to the internet.
I believe such a facility (i.e. download an article or series of article as PDF) may help users to combine related interesting articles and read at the leisure. I think such facility is already available at WikiPedia (compile PDF on the fly of related articles).
Thanks

My first thought was, what a great idea. My second thought was, but what about the downloads? When I read an article I like to view the code as well.
|
|

Well, you can download the code as well ! And try the code/read article while on the move probably !
And then if you can combine the many article in PDF or so, that would be fantastic ! your own e-book and that to from people who has done real work rather than some bookish knowledge !
And then CodeProject can probably have moderated list of such compiled e-books in future.

Down voting is becoming a very disturbing thing. Specially if people down vote and runaway like a chicken. they don't even leave a note why they down voted. before you have added an comment option with down vote. but then you removed, I dont know why. But I believe anywhere in this forum whoever get a down vote deserve an explanation.
Please do something about it.
I wish I could believe there is an after life.

This has been debated endlessly on this site. There is no consensus on how to fix it.

It should be "one man, one vote". I want to be the one man.

One of these days I'm going to think of a really clever signature.

agreed, but it was not about vote actually, it was about missing an opportunity to explain the voter.

You can still do that, replying to yourself or editing your post and adding an explanation when it gets downvoted.
Also, I've noticed that most CP regulars usually explain the downvote when they cast it, so it's not such a big problem. As said, although the system is not perfect, it could be worse. Better learn to live with it.
