When clicking on the logo (to navigate home) there is an Orange border appears that looks weird. It looks like a mistake even if it is deliberate.

On the CP Home page below the list of articles, all the entries under "Latest News" say they were posted "1 sec ago".

Hi Chris,
The new ui is pretty flash, and no doubt will take some getting used to... The first thing I noticed, however, is that all user names appear grey, rather than the colour of the thread (as voted). This makes it more difficult to decipher if things are up/down voted...

I'm old - I need more contrast so I can freakin' see the text.

Agreed 100%. This move towards grey on white is... what's the word I'm looking for... stupid. This is a developer's site for crying out loud - not a showcase for fine wine.
And PLEASE (excuse the shouting) reduce the extraneous vertical padding!

It causes a problem with the menus too. I mouse over "discussions" and the drop down menu list appears. But as I move my mouse down to the list, unless I move it very quickly, the list disappears before I can select from it. Pretty odd behaviour to say the least.

I hope the esteemed Mr Maunder is reading this thread with a kind eye. Chris, if it's TimTams that'll make you see things our way (pun intended), just say the word!

That sounds like what I experienced when I reported spam earlier. Mr. Maunder would like you to reveal which OS and browser you are using.

I don't get that, menu stays open until I make a selection no matter how slow I am.

It's part of the new world order, and is used in attempt to pacify the public, and make them more accepting of totalitarian doctrine.

What syntax highlighting system does CP use? I am just curious as I am trying to get into web design and just want to see how things tick.

We use our own system painfully built over the last 8 years. The trick with other highlighters is that none of the ones we saw handle the way ASP.NET (for instance) moves from one language to another, such as from Markup to Javascript to C# and then into XML (in the C# comments.

I like it! I have already used Win8, so I could see what you did immediately. I actually like the Metro UI, it is very crisp and clean!

While the new look is in line with Metro/Win8, modern, sparse, etc., the increased vertical space around forum posts causes one to be able to view less than content than before. This (at least for developers seeking content) is not a good thing. Please note, I'm not pixel whining - I'm drawing attention to a productivity killer.
Thanks,
