Don't post messages to him: look at the message and his profile - there may be a little red flag. Click on it, and select "Spammer". When he gets enough, he is gone automatically.
(The flag is reputation dependant, and you may not have enough rep to see it. I can, but my cat can't. C'est la vie)

Got to 8 reports. I think the profile was deleted then.
I think computer viruses should count as life. I think it says something about human nature that the only form of life we have created so far is purely destructive. We've created life in our own image.

What about the guy answering him?
I have told him as warning, he should not answer things like that.

I'd just come here to report it myself.
Hope it lasts long enough for the email to be got by the spam bots - or should I sign up for a few accounts myself...Hmmm....

They are posting messages as well. Don't forget to have those blitzed.
So far, we have this[^], this[^] and this[^].

This[^] message.
Nice trick to give someone -176 rep.

This one too[^]. Down-voted and reported as spam 23 Nov 2012 6:59 AM. (Should be UTC, but it seems to be an hour behind.)
Mine also lost 176 points. Since the points lost correspond to the user's reputation, I'm wondering if this is the same user?

My answer to that question (which I'll admit was tongue in cheek) also received the abuse vote.
I deleted mine as it perhaps could have rubbed someone the wrong way, but I think we may be dealing with a troll here.
(This troll is high rep, but not platinum. A platinum user would have dinged us for 180)

I've deleted my message, but it's still showing the -176 in my "latest reputation events" page.

Deleting a post will never remove the abuse report. The down-vote may go away in time, but the report will not. Perhaps a hamster will correct me if I'm wrong on this.
Anyhow, since it appears at least 2, if not more posts have been frivolously flagged by a high ranking, but not platinum member, I have posted a question in Site Bugs (Link[^] to see if the hamsters can look into it at some point.
Because of some of the voting issues and such on the site, I expect that this won't be their highest priority, and rightfully so.
Cheers.

That's odd. Did they up the report count for banning an account? My strike was 6th and the account remained active after that.

Odd indeed - he is still active, and the count still says "6" - it's possible some voted as "abusive" rather than "spammer, or it could just be that the membership DB hasn't caught up yet...
