Hi,
now (my locale time is 04/12/2012 11.28 GMT +1) bookmark function doesn't work fine.
If I click in "Bookmark" icon then it's transformed in "Saved" but it's not present in "My Bookmark" list.
Salvo.

Have you checked all sections of your bookmarks?

Ok...sorry ...i don't know (view) that there's a link with "Your other bookmarks: Tip/Trick".
Item that i want to save it's a Tip/Trick article and this is the reason because i can't view in "Your Article bookmark".
But I think that it's not very "usable".

Every morning when I log on, each message is marked as "new" and the dot
"indicates new messages since 5:00 1 Jan '00"
In the afternoon I see only new messages marked.
(I just "bug" as message type because I ever wanted to use it. It's the first time for me. So even if the markup won't be corrected, I'm happy as I was able to use this tiny little bug icon )

What happens if you use a different browser for a day of so? Also, what browser/OS are you experiencing this on?

In the moment I'm using Firefox 17 (Windows 7) and since eleven o'clock MEZ everything is ok:
"indicates new messages since 10:24 4 Dec '12"
Funny IE 9 now shows the following
indicates new messages since 0:35 8 Nov '12
Perhaps a caching-Problem? Well I emptied the IE 9 cache, but same result.

I've seen this occasionally, and it tends to be associated with heavy load on the servers. If the query times out trying to read the date/time of your last visit, it seems to store a default date in your session, and all the messages show as "new" until your session times out.

Most probably.

No, you must see that the other way round: too many reputation points were awarded, and they are now being counted correctly.

I take it there's a whole bunch of enhancement ideas etc in the to-do list, so I was wondering, have you considered opening some of them as open source development projects?
What I'm thinking of is that if there are specific, isolated things to be designed, coded and so on, this kind of task could be opened on the site and (possibly selected) members could join it to create the functionality.
Don't know, but I would guess that there would be interest in this kind of collaboration.
One possibility is that the end result could also be an article stating the problem, discussions about the implementation and of course the result code.

Now that is a good idea. But this would require all of the code to be open - you can't just make a bit of it open and not the rest.
I think there were some people who were allowed to make changes already (Mike Dunn or Paul Watson come to mind, as they had the site builder CP icon next to their name). This could also be a first step: promote some good willing followers to site editors (again).

I believe that all of the code wouldn't be needed to open. If the functionality can be isolated enough and the interfaces are clear, then the programming could be done independently.
Of course this highly depends on the problem/enhancement
One thought I also had in mind is that the 'project' could also be something else than coding. For example an investigation why certain operations, queries etc are slow and what to do with them.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to have prominent links to the Indian and Chinese forum directly from the home page? As it is, the links are buried in the community menu, and only in English (instead of Chinese / Hindi / Tamil / whatever)
Finding these links is probably like trying to change your phone's menus back to English after accidentally setting them to Korean.
Have we discussed this before?

Well if you look just to the left here you can clearly see it.

Yes, but only if you dig around, and it doesn't say 外语
I meant something at the top of the page, like sites where you can choose the language.
Just a suggestion, maybe it will get the Chinese forum another 50 posts.

A few weeks ago I thought I bookmarked an article, but I couldn't find it back in my bookmarks. Eventually I found the article back through google. Bookmarked it again, and still couldn't find it though the bookmarks. So I take a closer look, turns out the article was a tip and not an article. I had totally missed that (though I don't care if it's an article or tip). After looking even closer trying to find the bookmark I found the link to the tip and tricks bookmarks, that was not very obvious I have to say. Maybe for power users the difference in type of bookmark can be useful, but for the average joe like me it's quite confusing and wasteful of my time trying to find something back I thought I had bookmarked.
Just for reference, this was the tip (when you land there from Google, it's not quite apparent that this is a tip either):

I have a doubt about my reputation. Iam posted answer for two question in codeproject today. but i did'nt get any reputation for this. why? actually iam expected 20 points. Anyone can explain this why? Please provide detailed explanation?

Certainly. As you might not be aware, yesterday was the end of the long and bitter reputation fairy wars. It was a bitter feud, and the fairies fought bravely. Sadly they were all wiped out.

Is this all you care about? Are you only answering questions for points?

No. Iam just asking. You are misunderstand me.

If you aren't just answering for the points, you won't care how long it takes. I don't think I misunderstand you at all.
