See, I'm naive in that regard. Never bothered about the ranking and alike. Must be something like that that makes CP attractive to them. Any remedy available?

Adding rel="nofollow" to every link in user-generated content (forum messages, articles, Q&A, profiles, etc.) might alleviate the problem, but the extra workload would probably bring the CP servers to their knees. There's also no guarantee that the spammers wouldn't find a way around it.

Maybe Chris is listening...?
Can you add that for us, Chris?
Very much appreciated!

I like that idea if the hamsters could create a filter to apply the nofollow to suspect links.
What makes CP so good is that a google search on a topic will return Q&A and forum results that are relevant. Just putting a nofollow blanket would eliminate that huge plus that the site currently enjoys.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I am no expert in this, but it is something along those lines. The way we have been jumping on them lately, they are not getting a lot of hits (judging by the View Count), but I remember one question in late December that got a lot views in roughly 20 minutes. That particular question had at least 8 spam answers and multiple comments with spam contents, so I assume the more spam links on a page, the more they attract people looking for free content.

Good old Sema - I'd be worried if he/she didn't turn up.
Not so worried I'd actually care why, but...
If you get an email telling you that you can catch Swine Flu from tinned pork then just delete it. It's Spam.

From your list (up to this moment), both of them are gone

I have checked your list. Some of them were still alive but I have helped to show them the door. All 15 are nuked

I suspect that when you close the door, they find a window somewhere.

Not only all "answers" are of this member are fake, but...
Now, this is something I never saw before:
This person gets my answer and argues a lot against is. After long discussion, he says: "Ok wow. You are right... Thanks for answering".
And then, instead of accepting it, he writes his own answer based on my advice literally, and self-accepts it! On the same page! What an artist!
My words in discussion of the answers are: "Here is the experiment to do: Move Enter to the very beginning of the Test method, Leave — to the very end. All your cases of "entangled" calls will disappear immediately, I'll guarantee that.". Note that I only suggested the experiment to proof the point. If OP had the solution, it should be better than that, but his "answer" shows that he only reproduced this step literally, without thinking:
Critical Section unmanaged C++ not working[^].
All other "answers" are fake, but no some of them are removed:

Isn't that too much?

Just forget and ignore it.
My father told me a long time ago a really good advice...
Don't argue with idiots, they will delevel you to theirs and then defeat you because they have more experience

Hi,
This user User[^] is back in top expert in 24 hours. Thugh user has answered only two questions in 24 hours and neither of them is accepted or upvoted. Nor the user has any old questions that are getting accepte/upvoted to bring and keep him in top list.
Marcus also initiated thread Old Thread[^] when the user made it to top for 4-5 days continuously.
As said in that thread, it is not spam but could be some bug in pointing system which being exploited. Worth checking.
[UPDATE]: There is a bug, Just now I got three times point for answering one question. Added a bug in Site Bug/Suggestion.
Thanks,
Milind

The account is no longer active. He made it into the monthly 4th place and I was getting excited about seeing him rise to the top with very minimum work (compared to the other Top 5 members)
