Please take a look at this account info:

I would never pay attention, but the "questions" posted by that person was also a kind of "spam", the re-posted "gimme code" non-questions which I had to remove.
Spam or not, but this is a kind of misuse of the public resource.

Well, I wouldn't hire him as he can't tell how old he is.

My guess is that he has done so with no intention of any kind. Just didn't know what to write in his profile, so he cut and pasted his resume. I sent him a private email, and I believe he will fix that.

Maybe you are right, that should be the best advice. I did not insist on banning or something like that; that's why I put a question mark on my post title.

OK, fine. It was just my question. After all, this is not cheating, as in other cases.

Why have I been classed as a spammer?
Does, frequent changing/fix message typos trigger this?
Or was it the joke message in the lounge? selling Stone Tapes - buyer collects
Please give me back my account.

If it was an error the best option is to tell it in:
http://www.codeproject.com/Forums/1645/Site-Bugs-Suggestions.aspx[^]
so that the CP-Staff can recover it

Hi dusty_dex,
I've gone through your recent message history and all seems OK. I've restored your account. Perhaps the joke was misunderstood? The account reports go on the profile and not the post themselves, so it's difficult to pinpoint the specific message. Hopefully all is well now. Apologies for the inconvenience.
Thanks,

Thanks Sean,
If you ever find out the root cause, I think it would be useful to all members if we knew the sort of message content that is likely to cause spam related flagging.

It takes multiple people to spam close an account. How many people did you upset?

Not to my knowledge, there was someone who got a bit heated over my comments about Windows 8 (with a survey on touch screens), but I never found any that were actual spam related incidents.
or are they abusing the spam/abuse reporting system to get revenge?

I took another look at that thread, maybe not.
I just think he was trolling. Very hard to tell how someone might resolve their issues online. If he tries anything again I'll not reply.

Just opened CP homepage and happen to see the vote count on the article competition survey. I remember the details couple of days back. May be it is OK, but I see sudden vote jump atleast in WebDev & Overall category (Total numbers suddenly increased at a super rate and WebDev total has suddenly crossed Overall). Around 25+ votes in 2 days that too for a single article[^].
Has someone else observed the same? As said, I may be wrong but to me it definitely looks like worth looking into.
BTW, the gap is still there. If it is sock-puppet account case, we can see more votes and hike at good rate!

At least 90% of the accounts that leaved a "My Vote of 5" message seem legitime, mostly over a year old. With reputation enough to be active users and with pictures.
I have just given a quick check without reading the content and it is not a thema where I am good at. But at least the format and how it is designed looks nice.
There are many cases of socket pupeteers but in this one, I don't think it (or at least is not that evident)
