HI,
I had a requirement that pins in Map can be dragged and dropped into another form . But when iam trying to drag and pin from Map Drag Start and Drag Stop events are not getting fired where as for another C1datagrid forms it works . Can any one show a solution how to fire events for a MapControl.
I kept the below in pinimage leftKeyDown Event.
Private mDragDrop As C1.Silverlight.C1DragDropManager
Public WriteOnly Property DragDrop As C1.Silverlight.C1DragDropManager
Set(ByVal value As C1.Silverlight.C1DragDropManager)
mDragDrop = value
AddHandler mDragDrop.DragStart, AddressOf DragDrop_DragStart
End Set
End Property
mDragDrop.ClearSources()
mDragDrop.SourceMarker.Background = New SolidColorBrush(Colors.Transparent)
mDragDrop.SourceMarker.Height = 50
mDragDrop.SourceMarker.Width = 250
mDragDrop.SourceMarker.BorderThickness = New Thickness(0)
Dim RowPresenter As New C1.Silverlight.DataGrid.DataGridRowPresenter
If RowPresenter IsNot Nothing Then
RowPresenter.DataContext = sender.datacontext
mDragDrop.RegisterDragSource(RowPresenter, DragDropEffect.Copy, Nothing)
End If
if iam trying to drag a pin from Map, the Events in Gantt form "DragDrop_DragStart" & "DragDrop__DragOver" are not getting fired.
and Map is moving instead of pin Can you show me solution how i can drag and Drop pin and where i need to keep that code to drag pin.
Is this Drag and Drop supports for Maps ?

Do some research into "Kiosk" applications.

A combination of WindowStyle="None" and WindowState="Maximized" will give you a full-screen application. However, your window won't have a title-bar, so it won't have the restore, minimize or close buttons. You'll need to provide some other way for the user to close the application.

I have silverlight application. I am using MVVM pattern for binding. Data interaction with client using RIA services through entity framework. I have entities with relationship so for fetching parent child data mostly I use include in LINQ. Actually loading is slow on client side so please any best possible optimization according to my model will be welcome and thank you in advance.. Also please guide me using "include in LINQ" is good practice or not??

Hi All,
I have a wpf usercontrol listview with checkboxes.
When I sort items on this listview by clicking any of the column of the listview, the checkboxes will be unselected.
I am using ListCollectionView's cutomsort property.If I have selected more than two items then after sorting
only one item will be selected and remaining checkboxes will be unselected.
I am fully confusion who is making them to unselect the checkboxes after sorting.
Can any one can help me for solving this issue?

Cold we see the code that does the sorting, and I assume that the checkboxes are binded no?

You will need to restyle the menu control to suit your needs (xaml equivalent of CSS).

We have an application made in WPF were the main page has the "topmost" property set to true. It is a business requirement that this app runs on top of each others.
When running it alone it works as expected.
When running it in combination with a Task Manager as "Allways on top" set with focus on WPF app still fine.
Once you switch from the WPF app to focus the Task Manager, the WPF goes behind Task Manager (would expect that as well)
But, when you switch to another after that operation (an open Excel sheet for example), the WPF app disappears behind the Excel.
This is only after updgrade to Windows 7. On XP worked just fine.
Any idea would be welcome.

So 2 apps set to "Always On Top" negate each other or is it just after you open Task Manager. Does Task Manager also get demoted or just your WPF. I suspect you are running up against some undocumented feature on the Task Manager - like that never happens!

I open Task Manager (the WPF is always running). Task manager remains on top, WPF doesn't. Strange thing that on XP it worked..

I just tried this on Windows7 with a WPF app and it stays on top all the time, regardless of whether Task manager is running.
Use the best guess

Looks like a strange internal policy we have on the new Windows 7 images. Probably it allows just one app to stay on top. Looking with System Admins now.
Thanks for trying.

I am new in silverlight and I know how to add 1 object of silverlight which is from mainpage.xaml to aspx pages but for example if I have another xaml like mypage.xaml and I want to add both xaml to the page what should I do?
|
|
|
|
|
When you add a SL page to an aspx (or any web page for that matter) you are adding the Silverlight runtime object. You never inline the xaml page itself (unless, of course, you want to show the xaml). The SL runtime object embeds just like any other active object... flash for example... but you pass in the URL of the xap the object should load.
If you want two SL apps on a page, just add a second SL runtime object to the page and point it to a 2nd xap.
If you want two pages in your one SL app, you need to look up page navigation in Silverlight. That is an SL function... not an aspx issue.

Using WPF, I have a datagrid, databound to a observable collection/collectionviewsource.
Say my grid has only 1 column ("NAME").
How can I make sure I only populate the grid with NO duplications.
I've looked at multivalue converters... validationRules.
Either way, I don't know how to display values with no duplications.
Any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks
<DataGrid.Columns>
<DataGridTextColumn Header="Market">
<DataGridTextColumn.Binding>
<MultiBinding Converter="{StaticResource ResourceKey=myConverter}">
<Binding Path="tMarketName" UpdateSourceTrigger="PropertyChanged">
<Binding.ValidationRules>
<local:UniqueNameValidation CurrentCollection="{StaticResource ResourceKey=ViewSource}"/>
</Binding.ValidationRules>
</Binding>
<Binding RelativeSource="{RelativeSource Mode=FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type DataGrid}, AncestorLevel=1}"/>
<Binding Path="."/>
<Binding Source="{StaticResource ResourceKey=MyData}"/>
</MultiBinding>
</DataGridTextColumn.Binding>
</DataGridTextColumn>

Consider changing your presentation style to include a group! You would then be using a control as designed rather than trying to hack it into a custom layout.
Group name data data data
data data data
data data data
Group name data data data
to
Group name
data data data
data data data
data data data
Group name
data data data

I dont think you can set the number of pixels in WPF or Silverlight, but you can set the height in cm and in etc.
