Questions like this are generally answered like this,
If I have a {degree in question} then you need a {degree in question},
If my boss has a {degree in question}, then obviously you don't need a {degree in question}.
(I don't have an MBA and I don't really think I need one).

Functional/Business analysis requires knowledge of a specific function is carried out in a business organization.
A BS or MS in Accounting would teach you how to maintain accounts, how data flows from one set of books to the next, etc. The MBA supposedly teaches you how to interpret an Income Statement or a Balance Sheet but not how to arrive at one.
Pretty much the same thing goes for things such as Inventory Management, Production Support, etc.

I'm not against it, but the question is "Should", and to that I say no.
It's by no means mandatory or required for a someone on the IT world to have an MBA.
Being a good professional requires so much more than a title...
