I think you have to balance a user's contribution to the community against any indiscretions, but, at the same time, you have to give the appearance of being even-handed, or, shall we call them "lesser contributors" will use any sign of leniency as a reason for even worse behaviour, and it's all downhill from there (I imagine I'm not the only person here who has seen good newsgroups and fora disintegrate into pits of aggression and bitching.
If someone has spent a lot of their free time on something AND a lot of time in the forum, there's bound to be some overlap; it's just a matter of the hamsters judging where the overlap goes too far, and trying to (politely, preferably) keep them from crossing the line.

The spammer is gone, but there's one more post that needs a couple more "nudges".
Cheers!

All links in your original post are nuked. Maybe you are landing in non-synch server. Try F5

My bad! The spamming posts turned up so quickly that I couldn't include them all in my report.
Nevertheless, all of the posts have now been nuked.
Thank you Nelek!
Cheers,
Manfred

While going over old comments I have noticed that this user[^]'s account was opened only for the purpose of 3 abusive comments which were removed. Shouldn't his account be closed?

Treat each question as you would all other questions. If it's clearly garbage or offtopic / inappropriate, flag it; if it's salvageable then edit.

Ok. I did it with the recent one,but what to do with totally irrelevant answers? e.g.
Highlight searched word/phrase in girdview or textbox[^]
OP is asking for high light the searched text and he is providing suggestion to use timer.

Downvote or if it's completely off the wall then mark as not an answer.

What answer? I only see the question here with no answers.

It was deleted. It was totally irrelevant one.

That wasn't what Chris advised. Some people are far too ready to delete things. That really has to stop. I would rather make my own mind up if something is irrelevant . The delete option should really only be used if something is spam or abuse.

It may be the case that it got some reports and then the answer got deleted. I also commented the author of that answer on how timer is related to highlight the searched text? He was still with that answer.
Pete O'Hanlon wrote: The delete option should really only be used if something is spam or abuse. Not everyone get this delete button.Do you mean that totally irrelevant answer should also be on board? Should we avoid reporting such content? I gladly appreciate your opinion.

Why should an irrelevant answer be reported as abusive? It isn't. The advice Chris gives in this case is to down vote the answer. This makes it clear that the answer is wrong. It also gives that poster a chance to correct their answer, which might lead them to post better answers the next time. Deleting the answer is a great way to ensure that someone never answers again, because they get the impression that their opinions aren't valued and that an arrogant elite are running the boards at CP, deciding who is worthy of answering. This opinion has grown up to surround StackOverflow. Don't let it happen here.

Pete O'Hanlon wrote: Why should an irrelevant answer be reported as abusive? It is not the only case when something gets deleted. As per as i know,If something get 3 reports ( Unclear/Incomplete,Repost,Not an answer ),it will also delete the content.Pete O'Hanlon wrote: they get the impression that their opinions aren't valued Then they should responsibly update the answer to make it related to what the problem is. IMO,by this,he will take care next time to post better(At least somewhat relative) suggestions.
Another solution to this type of situation can be one more reporting option as "Not relevant".
