Thanks! I did find some poor so-and-so who'd answered his own question and had been muscled off the list by this guy.

After the last user[^] was shown the door, there's now a new user[^] posting links[^] to articles hosted by Software Development Times.
This user isn't as obviously connected to SDT as the last one. However, in his three months of membership, his sole contribution has been to post two messages in the Insider News forum linking to SDT articles.
Does anyone else think this is suspicious?
Both messages have now been updated to link to the original story, removing the reference to SDT. Panic over!
And now they're completely gone, as is the user.

Good catch. It's actually not all in one day. If you look at the Reputation tab and the Comments[^], the account goes back to at least October 28. That's still a lot of points in about 3 weeks.
If you take a closer look at the Comments, the name changed a couple of times. I wonder if there is a bug in the system where the "Member since ....." information on the profile page resets when you change the name. Either that or the account was closed and reopened or something like that.
I think this is one for the hamsters to dig into, so I am going to leave it alone.
[EDIT]
The more I dig into this, the more I have to agree with you. It looks quite shady and I have reported the 3 accounts.

Nope. Actually,to get the profile deactivated,5 Abuse or 5 Spam reports are necessary. e.g. 4 Spam and 4 Abuse won't deactivate it even if total is 8.The displayed result shows total reports.I think i should change the title of the message.
