I think this should be in look out.
The Question : Get user location by IP address[^]
which is answered by the same person who had asked, also going approved the own one.
I think this might be report as spam or it's allowed (if it is for only points), i mean it could be also added as comment or improve question.

Nope. Spam means to advertise something. If self accepted answers remain continue for some user, then you can report it as Abuse. In this case,no action is required.
bjdestiny wrote: it's allowed (if it is for only points) We came across many profiles where somany self accepted answers were reported. But in this case,he has only one answer that is self accepted.
It is allowed here. e.g. you posted question and got 3 solutions, none of them worked and suddenly you find a way to deal with it,then you can post it and accept it so in future some one visiting it come to know how you solved the issue.

Sometimes they do sneak through - it's not always obvious, but you'd have to ask those that approved it (and we don't know who they are!)
Both articles gone, user remains.

I disagree that they aren't tips or tricks. If they aren't tips/tricks, then this one[^] isn't either.

Come on. Just looping through 3 lines code and at the end we have 1000 ids? Which factor make this a Tip? What is Trick here? What is the problem and what is the solution?
If we consider such things as a Tip/Trick,then IMO,every piece of code can be a Tip/Trick. I am really confused.

Length of code is no indicator of whether or not something is a Tip/Trick. The guide should be "does this teach something new, or something that might be missed by someone who's not familiar with the environment"? My tip was only 2 lines, and yet people have found it useful because it's not obvious. Perhaps you need to calm down a bit and stop seeing things as a personal affront.

He's gone - but could you do us a favour in future and post a link to the offending messages as well? (Just the user messages page if it a forum job, or the question if it's QA)
That way one of us with the Power of Greyskull can get to them and dispose of them. Once the user is nuked it's easier to get at the messages and nuke them as well if you do.
