Almost all the code I wrote in last 6 years is under the influence of nicotine (I know that doesn't count).
Once, I was at a party and got drunk. Apparently at the same time some some genius released an awesome piece of code on the production server which was having a butterfly effect and some remote module was crashing. So when our trouble shooting team could not fix it they called me up(it was very late at night). And that was the only time I went to office drunk and still brag about it because I found the cause of the problem in that mode too.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore, Dream. Discover.

... anyone is going to admit it!?

Some of it is still out there in use.
It'll fail in ... um ... interesting ways ... in 2032. (Don't ask, you don't want to know.)
It's impenetrable, it's cryptic, it's in assembler, and it works like a charm. Except the 2032 bit, obviously. It's heavily commented with "don't touch this" and "yes, I was drunk" and so forth.
But...it's also 1/10 the size of the code I wrote to replace it when I was sober, at least twice as fast, and I have no idea how it works...

During my university times... going to the lessons after a party-night-off was not so unusual, so yes. I probably have written some "serious" code under the influence of alcohol, but at least only my note was depending on it

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

I guess that is not 100% true. A couple of months ago I took an allergy pill in the morning as I had my first allergic reaction to a cloud of pollen and dust stirred up by a crew of landscapers.
I don't think that is the kind of drugs the survey is about, but I did buy the medicine in a drug store.

I like this! "cloud allergic"
Ah, sorry - I might have misread your cloud and drugs message.
Hopefully you have a good anti-allergic-drug!
BTW: My (i) hurts - can this be from the (i)cloud???
(No, (i)m not under the influence of drugs)

I see how it could be interpreted as a "Cheech & Chong cloud"[^], but no.

Some people would feel like drunk while programming coz coding is like seductive.
For some people programming is like fighting with machine so they might need alcohol as seductive after some time.
So whatever Say No to Drugs/Alcohol

Brilliant, Now what do you call a person that can't spell?

I did it purposely.I just wanted to show 'alcohole' === 'a**hole'. That's it.

For coding under influence. Also, you were coding to fast and your front left usb drive is broke.
You have the right to remain socially awkward. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a meeting of business. You have the right to have a manager present during questioning. If you cannot afford a manager, one will be appointed for you.
It's an OO world.
