I think the initial article is spam as it refers to a commercial product without mentioning that it's commercial.

I have read your comment, if the tool was free and now not anymore, you can ask sean or any other of the CP-Staff members to move the article to the other cathegory.
To be honest, I have reported it as spam, because it had a lot of revisions / editions, so if it changed to payed-software has had enough oportunities to be included.
But if the author really didn't know and CP consider it worth to stay, they can bring it back from the limbo if it gets deleted

That's a very rude message. I reported the message and the member.

Yes, after enough Abuse reports, it will be automatically removed.

I dunno: This first one I look at: Create First Data WareHouse[^]
Has a chunk that starts out word for word the same as Barnes and Noble: Microsoft SQL Server 2000 resource kit (Microsoft Press)[^]
His:
Developing a Data Warehouse
The phases of a data warehouse project listed below are similar to those of most database projects, starting with identifying requirements and ending with executing the T-SQL Script to create data warehouse:
Identify and collect requirements
Design the dimensional model
Execute T-SQL queries to create and populate your dimension and fact tables
Identify and Collect Requirements
...
Microsoft Press:
Developing a Data Warehouse: Details
The phases of a data warehouse project listed below are similar to those of most database projects, starting with identifying requirements and ending with deploying the system:
Identify and gather requirements
Design the dimensional model
Develop the architecture, including the Operational Data Store (ODS)
Design the relational database and OLAP cubes
Develop the data maintenance applications
Develop analysis applications
Test and deploy the system
Identify and Gather Requirements
And it continues in a similar vein, with pretty much the same topics in the same order.
Thoughts? Should this be marked as plagiarism as well? It looks to me as if he was reading the book and paraphrasing as he went, but I could be wrong.

To be honest I have not deep-checked the article, but the snippet you posted here and the fact that are no quote-blocks and no reference links to the sources but he does have "for more info check my other article XXX" with links...
On the other hand, he has written (at least in what I checked) quite text himself, so it is a messy mix.
I would say, we should give him a very serious warning and a deadline to correct all his doubtfull articles and tips.
If not done... then clean up

Is this teh same one that was showing here eyes the other day? I think they have a rather poor opinion of developers if they think that kind of drivel will distract us...
