Chris
This problem is still active and more people are creating new discussion threads about it and reporting the download issue.

Hi,
As you may know, Thailand is in the midst of another one of its limnal national political psychodramas complete with streets and bridges shut down, and bombs and grenades going off (these paradoxical admixtures of chaos, organized protest, riot, farce, parades, etc., are always played out on the stage of the capitol, Bangkok), but, so far, there has no noticeable disruption of my internet service, or slow down of loading web-pages, or downloading files, or even watching English television channels via an in-country paid streaming service ... here, 700 km. north of the capitol.
Of course, the "big pipes" for the internet world-wide go through Bangkok, or its immediate vicinity.
So, I'm puzzled why I'm not seeing other replies on the QA forums appear until hours after they have been posted. On the C# sharp forum, the other replies on the thread [^] did not appear for five hours.
This doesn't really bother me very much; it does mean at times I respond with a similar answer to one that is already posted, or even anointed as "the solution." If I had seen the earlier answer, I might not have answered: no big deal. Ron Beyer has generously offered to defibrillate me with "mercy votes" if I am down-voted for what may appear to be "me-too" answers and go into the gnashing-of-teeth state
I do wonder if this delay is something related to my geo-location. Are the hamsters jealous I live in the Land of Smiles ?
thanks, Bill

“Oh, you can't help that,” said the Cat: “we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad.”
“How do you know I'm mad?” said Alice.
“You must be," said the Cat, or you wouldn't have come here.” Lewis Carroll

This one worked, checking out QA and C# ...

I'm not seeing any issues with delays here in Toronto, plus I see your posts of only a few minutes ago.
It is possible that something along the communication path is caching responses even when they shouldn't. Possibly due to reduced bandwidth or intentional delays for 'security' reasons.
Keep you head down.

Thanks for replying ! My current activity page showing the listing of posts, and votes, is updated almost instantly: and if I use the links from that page, my answers are showing up even though the other's earlier replies are not showing up either there or on the forums themselves.
As for "keeping my head down:" my head is so low to the ground here I can tie my shoes with my false teeth There's no danger where I live unless I did something really stupid. I appreciate your concern.

For me happens something similar, but I think in my case is more related to the cache synchronization problems.
I usually land in old lists or I don't see all new messages, but reloading the page brings me to the actual one.
What I have noticed is a random load-delay, it sometimes takes almost 30 sec to actualize the page. This has happened with IE and FF without distinction

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

If you click on "Tech Blogs" on a profile page, you don't get a list of the Technical Blogs of that user, but a list of articles, because the "Tech Blogs" link leads to #articles and not to #blogs

Previously, clicking a reply to a post (or another post in the forum) simply caused the browser to scroll to that entry and open it. Now, the browser (Chrome 32.0.1700.76 m) jumps to the top of the page, then scrolls down to the entry. Please revert to the old behavior. The new behavior is very hard on the eyes.
OK, this works now.
No, it's still a problem in article forums (but not in non-article forums).
Thanks!

Strange, I'm sure it has only just started happening. But I also noticed something else rather odd this morning, so it may be have something to do with a Chrome update.

I'm experiencing exactly the same issue in article forums.
Everytime, I click on a message header to expand, it scrolls to the top, then back down to the expanded message.
It's really quite disorienting for those (like me) prone to motion sickness.

I just submitted and article An autonomous roving vehicle Part 2 of n[^] and I wasn't able to add an mp4 file or swf file for a while. When I was finally able to add a low quality swf flle and add it to the article it came up as a download and the mp4 when I tried to add gave a 404 error.
If you click on the link it opens another window and plays? Very strange behavior!
If you do solve this problem the mp4 file I would like to add to the article is ~7MB and I would like to use it instead of the crappy swf one.
Thanks y'all
