Blatant fatism in action. Other people can have their accounts enabled, but not me, whose account got deleted for pointing out the blatant hypocrisy of a particular person, who could dish out abuse, but complained when she received it.
Nice to know standards can be applied so unequally.
Stephen Schneider, Climate Scientist: "Scientists need to get some broader based support, to capture the public’s imagination…that, of course, entails getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we may have…each of us has to decide what the right balance is between being effective and being honest. You do understand that the world doesn't revolve around you, right? And I'm assuming you do also understand that there's a chance - a small chance - that something might have come up such as meetings, actual bug fixes, or maybe we're having network issues that I need to diagnose - that may have prevented me from springing into action to reinstate your account at the instant you want it?
How about: "Hey Chris - and progress on this?".

Ah. but I have it on good authority you said 'not a chance' last time the question was asked.
I dont get why though. If you can enable someone elsea account why not mine? It got deleted for the wrong reasons, it wasnt trolling, it wasnt abusive, it merely pointed out some uncomfortable facts, and a few people didnt like that.
The reason I want it back is because the email address is the one I use all the time, and having some other junk hotmail account used for CP means I dont get notification when I get a reply, so I end up missing a lot of interersting conversation.

Having a tanty about it just makes me put it in the "after I've had a beer" bucket when it's a crazy afternoon like today.

Reminds me of those people who say "You know, you really do look fat in those jeans. Oh come on - I'm just joking".
So, sure. You're account is back. Please respect the community and this site as a whole.

The new "shouty-bar" at the top of the page is blocking access to the header, and there doesn't seem to be a "dismiss" option.

Any chance you could make it slightly less "blocking-important-features"-y?

this article[^] has a code block going over the right border - I tried to fix it real quick, but no luck. Anyone else want to try?
Thanks to Richard, the problem is fixed.
I will never again mention that Dalek Dave was the poster of the One Millionth Lounge Post, nor that it was complete drivel.

I don't have access to edit it, but there's a width="528" attribute on the 5th code block (starting If last20pos.Count >= 20 Then ) which is causing the problem.

Beginner's Guide to HTML5 & CSS3 Article Competition[^]Quote: To ensure your article is judged, make sure to submit it in the "HTML5/CSS3 Article Contest" subsection within the HTML / CSS section. If you click the link "HTML5/CSS3 Article Contest", it will show you the Article Submission Page with "HTML/CSS" selected on Section DropDownList , but it does not list the "HTML5/CSS3 Article Contest" in Subsection DropDownList .
However, if I select any other Section and then again select the "HTML/CSS" Section, it lists the "HTML5/CSS3 Article Contest" inside Subsection DropDownList .
