Perhaps you thought that since music CDs are mechanically stamped and sealed in tough plastic, they'd last forever. Wrong! Some may already be dead. Here's why. What's a CD?

Once before ages, people on earth were using CDs to store their data.

Is that "news"? The information contained in it looks so old to me, like a quarter of a century. Or does it just provide the proof to a fact which almost everyone tried to ignore?
Well, the good old vinyl records do last far longer.

I've heard people say TDD automatically creates good designs. More recently, I've heard David Hansson say it creates design damage. Who's right? "Neither. TDD doesn't create design. You do."

Probably the most level headed comment on TDD this last month...

Quote: The TDD cycle is very detail-oriented and requires you to make some design decisions when writing tests In other words, your design is focused more on testability than on usability, correctness or elegance. This can create bad designs.

Though ASP.NET Web Forms isn’t part of the vNext initiative it isn’t being ignored. As part of Visual Studio 2013 Update 2 it has picked up some new tooling, EF integration, and Roslyn support. All the news isn't just MVC

"No one has disproved the existence of zombies yet"
Yet the same argument that if you can't disprove the existence of something it means that it has to exist...
And the "they don't make movies out of fantasies, do they?" is so naive.
That must be a scam.

Not at all. It's a training exercise in adaptive strategy.
The point is not that a zombie apocalypse may happen, it's about analyzing the situation and find a strategy that will lead to the best possible outcome; regardless of how weird or hopeless the situation may be.
