You cannot 'compile' an Excel file into anything, it is purely data. You can use protected cells and passwords on the files as necessary.

We tried giving strong name to it but failed and also we used TLIMP command that also failed. Can some one guide...what mistake we are doing and also how to resolve this issue

This is a board where you can ask questions.
Yours is not a question; it's merely a statement of what you want. The top Google result would point to a CodeProject article on the subject[^].

I am trying really hard, but I'm just not getting this...
This is what I need to do...
Set prompt = “Enter sides of the square”
Show Input Box
Convert string input to length
Area = length * length
Set output = “Square of side length “ + length + = “: “ + area
This is where I am at...
Dim prompt, sideLength As String
Dim area, length As Double
prompt = InputBox("Enter sides of the square.")
sideLength = Convert.ToDouble(length)
area = length * length
Me.lblOutput.Text = "Square of side length " & length & ": " & area

Where are you magically setting the value of "length"?
Then you take the trouble of converting "length" to Double but then never use it.
Learning to use the debugger is a very valuable skill.

Excuse me. I don't understand. I'm just learning this all, and it's very confusing.

Edited. Misread the code. length is actual declared as a double.
We can't possibly know what is confusing you unless you tell us.
You are trying to convert a string to a double right? The string you are trying to convert is named "length" right? Look at your code and see if you can find anywhere in your code where you are setting "length" to be something other than an empty string....
Your code as it stands right now is you are trying to convert length (which is a double) to a double. Then put that result in a string named "sideLength". Why would you convert a double to a double? Does it make more sense to you to convert the user input to a double?
Then you take the result of your convert operation and put that into a variable named "sideLength", then you don't use it anywhere.
Learn to use the debugger and you can follow the code and see what it is doing.

Sure, where are you stuck?
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

|
|
|
|
I get data with following code from a table which contains a date type field :
con = New SqlConnection("server=(local);database=pers;Trusted_Connection=True;")
con.Open()
datd = New SqlDataAdapter("select * from perInfo ", con)
datd.Fill(ds, "perInfo")
DataGridView1.DataSource = ds.Tables("perInfo")
I have my date type field shown in gerigorian but I want to display it in persian date in my datadridview.
what I must to do to convert this gerigorian date to persian date in my
datagridview?
thanks

The "proper" way is to set the CultureInfo of the thread. Just google CultureInfo and .Net.

I do what you say by following code :
con = New SqlConnection("server=(local);database=pers;Trusted_Connection=True;")
con.Open()
Me.datd = New SqlDataAdapter("select * from perInfo", con)
Dim commandBuilder As New SqlCommandBuilder(Me.datd)
Dim table As New DataTable()
table.Locale = System.Globalization.CultureInfo.InvariantCulture
Me.datd.Fill(table)
Me.bindingsource1.DataSource = table
Me.DataGridView1.DataSource = Me.bindingsource1
but yet didn't work.

What is the error?
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
|
|
|
|
|
error is in second line and say
"not a valid calender for the given culture"
"parameter name: value"
|
|
|
|
|
You haven't shown what PersianCalendar is so you'll need to debug it.
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

I didn't understand your mean but if you say that I must explain for you
what persiancalender is .It begin from gerigorian 2/21/621 and each year
include 365 days and first six month of year has 31 days and five month of year has 30 days and the last month has 29 days after each three years last month of year will have 30 days.so I said it starts on march 21 .
But if you say I must define a persian calender and set into datetimeformat.calender I have done this and if I must show persiancalender in other way please tell me How.
