I should be agree with you but i dont see any possibility that the type will get changed because once approved "who cares" is the way people look at it.
There are many such posts in Moderators forum[^] by me and Kornfeld and none of them is resolved yet. One solution to such issues would be to ask the type once you report it as Wrong Type and then change the type once it get certain number of votes.
