What if the author simply wasn't aware of how to reference material correctly.
I know this sounds odd, but many, many people simply don't know how to do it properly.
So: we can certainly add a "-X points" penalty. We'd have to be able to remove it too for certain circumstances.
What we tend to do is warn the member, they fix it up, all's good. They don't fix up their habits, they disappear. Those who keep coming back will not be dissuaded by rep point penalties.

Yes, I thought about this when writing the suggestion. And as you see, I didn't have any good idea since I didn't include it in the post. Giving back the points could be one solution but probably that would have to be an admin/protector privilege so not a very feasible solution.
I've wrote hundreds or thousands of pages ICT related, copyrighted material over the years so I take plagiarism very personally, regardless of the author. Guess I just needed to vent

Not a phishing expedition. We sent out the wrong link and are busy slapping ourselves.
Sorry about that.

Don't slap too hard! It could be harmful to your mental capabilities and you're still needed here.

We're working on it. We fixed something else and this broke. Wandering the twisty passages all the same looking for the bug.

Hi All,
Today i was trying to change my code project styles. And i could change some part but i got stuck in some parts. I tried a lot and i used the following css .
.sidebar {
border-radius: 30px;
}
td.member-rep-list{
border: 2px solid #ccc !important;
border-radius: 50px !important;
height: 100px !important;
padding: 10px !important;
width: 50px !important;
}
.member-rep-list .member-rep-box{
border: 2px solid #ccc !important;
border-radius: 50px !important;
height: 100px !important;
padding: 10px !important;
width: 50px !important;
}
My side bar style is working fine but the other style is not adopting. Now i noticed that the td classes are different as follows
member-rep-box bronze
member-rep-box nostatus
member-rep-box silver
member-rep-box none
It may vary for you.
NB: I am saying about the td part where our points are showing under "Summary".
Please help me.

Applying CSS to your profile page is unsupported and is left as an exercise for the reader.
We give you enough rope to hang yourself. Be careful!
(Oh, and you never actually said what you were trying to do)

I've gotten several email notifications of refunds of videos I purchased through Code Project TV. Not sure why. I purchased them, watched them, no refund was necessary.
Apologies if this has been announced somewhere on the site. A cursory search didn't turn up anything, but it could have been right under my nose and I didn't see it.

There is an option "Make Message Sticky"; it appears on the attempt to add a message in a personal blog. What's its purpose? What it does?
Thank you.

My guess would be that it keeps the message at the top of the forum, rather than letting newer posts push it down the list.
Either that, or it hands the message to a toddler who's just been eating a jam sandwich.
