It's a control variable, most likely created by ClassWizard.

Create an array of pointers to buttons:
CButton* m_btns[10];
m_btns[0] = new CButton;
.
.
.
.
delete m_btns[0];

But when using class wizard all i get is a unreconizable database format. How can i add a database view and record set to my modal dialog(the mail center if you will) and be able to sort it into 2 list views of new and old, plus be able to delete the record email?

Hello all,
I have a big problem and I don't know why.
Here is my problem:
I have a large project with unicode supported. When I build it as Debug configuration, everything is OK and my app runs correctly. When I build it as Release configuration, the linker complains:
LINK : warning LNK4075: ignoring /EDITANDCONTINUE due to /INCREMENTAL:NO specification
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "mfc42ud.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "mfcs42ud.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "msvcrtd.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "LIBC" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library.
I ignore these warnings and try to run my app. Then, my app hangs when calling OpenDocumentFile(NULL).
I really don't know why the linker uses *d.lib during the linking process.
After that I use /NODEFAULTLIB to ignore these lib and the linker complain again:
LINK : warning LNK4075: ignoring /EDITANDCONTINUE due to /INCREMENTAL:NO specification
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "mfc42u.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "mfcs42u.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
LINK : warning LNK4098: defaultlib "msvcrt.lib" conflicts with use of other libs; use /NODEFAULTLIB:library
I ignore these warning and try to run my app. Then, my app cause a DEBUG ASSERTION. It is so STRANGE because I build my app under Release mode.
Please give me some ideas.
Thanks in advance.

SerilizeElemets will not compile in the VC.Net 2003 version. It worked fine in .Net 2002.
const CIntArray& C2DIntArray::ElementAtConstRef(int nIndex) const
give this error
'SerializeElements' : illegal use of explicit template arguments

I need to extend File Explorer (in windows XP Pro), and add some custom columns.
Name, size, type, date modified...are all standard in deatail view, and if you right click on them you can bring up a list of available columns.
I need to add some custom columns.
If anyone has any sample code, instructions, references, links, etc. that could help with this project I'd be very greatful.
Thanks,
Josh

This is a weird hacky question, so I thought this would
be a good forum to ask
I have a DOS application running in a dos window under
MS Windows (98SE). I need to dig into it to send keystrokes
and read the text on the screen. Does anyone have any
idea how to do this, or can anyone even offer any pointers
as to where I could find out how to do it?
Thanks,
NDP.

You could probably use mutexes to alert you when something happens, and a file to explain what happened.

I assume you are spwaning the "DOS" prog from a Windows prog, if so have a look at:-

How can I do to mix C and C++ code?
I have a DLL project with some classes and I have tryed to include a pure C code file with the header... The compiler starts with "fatal error C1010: unexpected end of file while looking for precompiled header directive". Missing some details in the header file?
How can I do to call functions existing in the C code?
TIA

The first line of all the modules need to be #include "StdAfx.h" if you used the class wizard in the creationof the program

You need to turn off precompiled headers for this file. Select the file in the workspace, right-click -> Settings -> C/C++ -> Precompiled Headers. Then select "Not using precompiled headers".

Can anybody tell me a resource for adding a Splash screen to a DLL. Splasher and other classes require a CWinApp or CMainFrm object - my DLL does not have these.
Basically, I want to display an intro or splash screen to a library DLL when not properly registered. It would go away after a short period.
Thanks

One solution is to simply implement an MFC DLL. As for the splash screen, one solution is a dialog box.
