For example, I want to extract all texts of a new website to save txt files.

Hi all,
I am happy to find this site. I am not s programming expert. I've been looking for a reliable affordable host for my small photography site. I came across google app engine and managed to get a test site live on it. I'm wondering if this is a good option for a host? I'm interested in using bootstrap for design but not sure it will work on there. Also interested in trying to get wordpress running on there but it looks a little complicated.
Do you guys think google app engine is a good place to host a web-site, is it sufficient?
Thank you for your help,
Ian

Hi ,this is my first time to ask a question here.Thank you all in advance.
My job is about storage drivers on linux/unix which may help me to learn pci and could see the linux system underling code. But this is not my interest.
I am the guy want to learn "popular" technology which may worth to learn in rest of my career.
So if I want to learn some thing at spare time, which is more suitable to my current job? I mean ,1) virtualization :to learn about Xen/virtualbox. 2) storage :some code like GFS ,HNFS, ...
3) or big data analysis .
So which is more suit able to me ,if 2 years later I change my job.
A Big question .Thanks.

Think the other way: find a company and job you want, read their job description, then try to learn the skills needed. Also need to check if the goal is reasonable.

How is Cloud Hosting for my website Different From the normal Dedicated server Hosting?
|
|
|
|
|
There won't be much different in deployment perspective.
But you will get additional cloud benefits such as auto scaling of resources , no maintenance worries, basic fail overs and so on..
Not sure what kind of specific information you are looking for, could you be specific.
Have a nice day

Can any one describe me what really is the term Cloud Computing and how it works.
|
|

Cloud computing is currently the buzzword in IT industry, and many are curious to know what cloud computing is and how it works. More so because the term CLOUD is intriguing and some people even wonder how do clouds that rain can even remotely be used in Computing J.
Let’s learn Cloud computing with an example -
Whenever you travel through a bus or train, you take a ticket for your destination and hold back to your seat till you reach your destination. Likewise other passengers also takes ticket and travel in the same bus with you and it hardly bothers you where they go. When your stop comes you get off the bus thanking the driver. Cloud computing is just like that bus, carrying data and information for different users and allows to use its service with minimal cost.

So, if we talk about cloud computing, it is the delivery of computing services that includes database, networks, storage, software, and analytics.
Types of Cloud Computing:-
1. SaaS
2. Paas
3. IaaS
Cloud computing works by enabling users access to add data on any selected device.

Hi, I am developing a C# based desktop application which has GUI developed using WPF.
My application has some SQLite database where I save users data.
1) Now I want to place this database in the Cloud so that if user lost it in local device, it can be fetched from cloud from anywhere.
2) Every time whenever local database changed it should be synchronized with data which is there in Cloud. i.e., there should be bidirectional synchronization.
Now I have two options. One is Windows Azure and other is Microsoft Sync Framework.
Please tell me which one I can go for now?
Though Windows Azure is not free, I can go for it. But is it useful?
Since my application is C#/WPF desktop application, can I go with Azure?
Any help please?
Thanks

Hi there .. Im new to Cloud computing but I have developed much apps in C#. I want to develop a SaaS application in Java, plz tell me what I need to learn in java except its basics which I have learnt. Should I call SaaS a web application? do i have to learn JavaScript to develop SaaS ?.
Is that essential to use a PaaS or IaaS provided by google, amazon and Microsoft? I just learned that there is a library or Framework named "CloudSim" Which can be used to create your own cloud on a server by using cloud architecture and by a VM. I dont know how to use them, and is this is good to have your own cloud than using others infrastructure ?

Hello, thanks for providing a detailed question which many members don't bother to do.
However, your question is more towards the basics and I would recommend you start by reading about cloud computing and virtualization. Just start with some free videos on youtube and read some blogs. There are plenty of them out there.
In your case you would most likely go with an PaaS or IaaS by the mentioned vendors unless your company has a data center of its own - which means a private cloud.
In theory, a SaaS application isn't something magical compared to a general app that you would build. Just that it is hosted on a cloud (yes on a VM mostly) and is being marketed to multiple customers.
Whether to have your own cloud or use MS, Amazon, Rackspace - it depends on how much money you want to spend vs how much money you can make.

Single instance multiple database (i.e single iis instance but separate database for each customer)
Is it best practice to follow

We are running payroll application in web forms .
Now we are in the stage to move to SAAS model and to use azure.
Searched in internet but could not find proper information to start.
Is azure support multitenant by itself or we need to create in web application?
We plan to create separate database for each tenent.
Please Advice.

I am not 100% sure what you mean by this, but I suggest you get a bit more familiar with Azure, as it's not only Web sites.
In fact, I don't see why you could not just port what you already have to Azure, THEN see if you want to switch to an SAAS model.
