I have two things on the go, in one I am using ATL and ADO ( hi, guys !! ), the other I am doing the gui classes in a Win32/OpenGL app that exposes a python interface, so I am writing classes in Win32 and in python and linking them up, so I can create the GUI from my console using python, and set up events by deriving python classes from the base classes I have written. I'm having so much fun I feel guilty on payday !!!!

I am also working with Java and JSP. Although I am not currently working with EJB, just Java Beans, I believe it is coming soon.

Why don't you develop with Apache/PHP on NT or 2000? Use the editor of choice (like ConTEXT) or one of the PHP IDEs that are emerging (although I hate their open source Delhpi editor control).
When finished, test it on a Linux box or your webhost.

George, I feel for you. I do ADA development ( see post above ). However, that safety critical stuff is crap. Just try finding the following code embedded in 100K LOC after several calls to the compiler developers for help:
function ">" ( L,R : in A_Package.Our_Real_Type )
return BOOLEAN renames A_Package.">=";
This is a real example and wasted about 3 weeks of 4 developers time.
BTW, that code was really Ada83 and I am aware of 'use type' in Ada95 and am swapping out renames as quick as I can find them.

I believe that the mistake happened when an algorithm was rewritten. The original code used <= to test for the exit condition on a loop. The code was changed to use a > test for readability. When the rename that exposed the function to the package was edited, the coder changed the < to > but overlooked the =
That is what I mean when I say that Ada is not nearly as safe as people (read US Government) would like us to believe.

The Poll Which asks what Languages or Tools we are using currently is really bad. I mean I posted my vote( which is JAVA sorry microsoft) , and then when the results showed it added up to 67.4% doing Straight C/C++ and 76.3% doing MFC (already this is well over 100%) I dunno maybe its some new Microsoft Percentage thing but all the technologies added up are well over the 100% Mark

That would be because you are allowed to select more than one option... It does make sense. For example, working in Java wouldn't necessarily stop you using C++ as well.

As Greg said - it's multi choice.
Just trying to find out what you guys want to read about that fits in with the Visual Studio theme we've got going here.
If there's 100 people jumping up and down saying 'Java rocks my world' then we look into it. At the moment though we're more interested in things like 'do we try and help people with Managed C++, or is everyone still battling with MFC'
