Let me be blunt for a moment...
To say that a wrongly placed comments should be responsed by a somehow vulgar response is childish...
You cannot hold to the position of being 'right' if you used the very same tactics that your opponent...
In CP there is no restriction to report someone just because someone has higher reputation than yours - so if you fell you have been trolled you only have to report...But responding with harsh words is just make it worst - for everyone...All you have done is make the excuse to the opponent to report you!
And for you to see my point here: In my reading OP got an answer (good or not is really secondary), OP should downvote and comment it with some useful (for me) comment, that explains why my answer isn't good for him and probably get some more - much better - answers/additions...Instead OP choose to trolling, a quick way to harsh words and to the door...I also can't see your point here of 'threatening' and 'Pedantic reprimands'...but even it was true there are ways to tell that except: 'Listen you nob'...

Let us finish the story
In your opinion OP trolled, in my opinion not.

Don't tar everybody with the same brush.
If you have a specific member or members in mind (and examples to back up what you say) then bring it up with the staff - Chris is easy to reach: http://www.codeproject.com/suggestions.aspx[^] and his decision is final!
In this case, I have to agree with Peter - he an Rohan did nothing to provoke that. Peter gave links to articles that do explain what the OP needed to know - but probably not what he wanted to know which was the specific code to solve his specific problem because he doesn't understand the subject. I'd say that the OP needs to learn, not act like a help vampire and expect to get it all done for him. Look at his other questions, and it's clear how much he wants to learn...

I see this all from the view of a low rep mem, like OP and me are...and I can understand OP's frustration about the comments.
After a very quick overview onto OP's other questions I see at least he "closes"/accept, which give me a Feeling of a reputable questioner.

Kornfeld Eliyahu Peter wrote: And does that comment (of Rohan) justify the words/phrases OP used?
Yes.
Rohan is well known for unjustly reporting members (he gets precious points for it), I reckon he tried to coax that response from the member so that he could report them.

So what you say is that because Rohan is evil we should let called him by names (other evil thing) - instead of reporting him?
And see that OP used the word 'two'! And for the second of the two I'm the only one... (Yes I'm evil too, but I try to conceal it...)
I think that if anyone see some evil (like you with Rohan's attitude), one should report it and let the community to decide...but not justify one evil with an other...

Interestingly the OP asked the same question (more or less) a couple of weeks ago, and received some useful suggested links.

I didn't saw that...
For the question itself - it wasn't that bad (I'm can't see why closed now...), I just do not like the language OP used...

It's not the question he was reporting - it's the language and attitude of the poster. In order to let others find the abuse, he has to post a link to the question.

It was very very small! Do I need to list some much more abvusive comments, from some "accepted" high rep members here?
SELECT COUNT(*) FROM CP_COMMENTS WHERE COMMENT LIKE '%f*k%'
Nope, I will not do it. But to crucify a low doped Member for something like this is not right!
