It’s been over a year since the launch of one of the biggest ever releases in Java history. With plenty more elements coming and going in the Java 9 release next year, there’s one question you may find yourself asking: Does Java need all this change? "When you're finished changing, you're finished."

Programming languages, by there very nature, have a really big legacy/backwards compatibility issue. This is why (in my opinion) innovation is best achieved by layering good tooling over a language rather than adding rafts of new keywords and syntax constructs.
Also one of the problems with programming languages is how difficult it is to take features away when they are superseded. For example I'd like to see a version of C# that didn't support declaring something as "object" and didn't allow non-generic lists etc...

The Windows Insider program is still running as Microsoft continues to ask for feedback. But the company faces accusations of not only failing to listen to the feedback it asks for, but deleting from the Feedback app and forums any suggestions it does not like. La-la-la Nothing to fix here

Nope, all worked fair enough until Windows 8.1. Now in Windows 10, I have to reconfigure the system, re-install the drivers when Windows Update occurs. Perhaps Windows 10 does all the messed up things, behind the scenes.
Being-specific: The AMD driver doesn't work after every occurrence of Windows 10 update.

Quote: In a statement to BetaNews, a Microsoft spokesperson said:
After the launch of Windows 10 and in preparation for continued flighting of PC builds to Windows Insiders, we have taken the opportunity to clear out the older feedback that we received early on in our product development cycle from the search results that get returned within the Windows Feedback app.
If true, that's a major change from what they've been doing with VS feedback for years. You can still find ancient long since denied change requests in the VS feedback system.
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Microsoft has done a good job rolling out Windows 10 in the first two weeks, analysts said today, and the general vibe for Windows 8's replacement has been positive, even though glitches have dampened some enthusiasm. Is this going to be on the exam?
