Is there any chance to add "notification icon" for moderation queue on the right-top corner (near the members details) of CodeProject site?
For example:
If moderation queue is empty, "notification icon" should stay invisible.
Is this good idea?

I do not moderate (or at least that what my mom sad), but it looks like to me that that icon will be always on...

I'd say that for the most of time (based on current day statistics) notification icon will be visible

Too much noise. I agree with Pete on this one.

Ok. That was only an idea.

While trying to vote in a survey, it is showing this message "You do not have sufficient Reputation to vote in this survey". What I remember is - previously I was able to vote in the surveys. Please check and let me know if any rule has been introduced.

Ahh.. thank you for your reply. Could you please mention, what should be the minimum points I should have to vote in the surveys.

I'm not an admin and only those know it.
But I guess it will not be published because that may open it again for abuse. The reason for being restrictive here is that there are prices with contests, not only points.
Suppose that having some Author and probably some Authority points will allow you to vote.

|
|

That does raise a good point though: Should you be able to see the "vote for the article" list at all if you don't have the rep to vote in it? That would be confusing, and is why the moderation queue(s) aren't visible to non-moderators.
@Chris-Maunder - shouldn't the voting panel be visible only if you can use it?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Ooooh - so we're going to bring logic into this debate are we? Taking the gloves off, eh? Sneaky tactics. Very sneaky.
One reason is because the homepage content is cached aggressively. Anything we don't need to think about, and can just dump out, is A Good Thing. To show/hide the panel would require customising this content for each visitor.
The other reason might be (and I can't confirm this) sheer, unadulterated laziness on our part.

Don't you just hate it when people bring logic into an interweb argument?

When replying to a message and the page with the text editor opens, the focus goes somewhere I can't find, it was on the 'Message' box before. Now I have to click on the box to start writing my gems...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

This went straight to the Message box.

It is something with Chrome (maybe my only) - I do some checking (this one on IE went to the right place)...

I am using Chrome and it works fine, as it does in Edge (spit).

So I turned off all extensions and updated Chrome. After restart it is still the same...
The page loads with the caret focused on the right place, than start some activity (cursor spins), the focus goes somewhere unknown...
I opened Fiddler to see if there is something on the net while I see the cursor spinning, but while Fiddler is open the phenomena does not happening...
I'm going to eat something...
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?

I clicked "Reply" in Chrome (Version 52.0.2743.116 m) and it went straing to the "Message box" and I could type immediately.
This is on Win10, x64 non-Aniversary edition.

It is pretty clear now that something went wrong at my end... I just can not find what it is...

Ask it in the QA
M.D.V.
If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you

It is not just you. It happens to me too and I am using Chrome. The focus is going to the ad in the banner at the top of the page. I guess CP needs more clicks so it forces focus there.

Yeah, 'cause that's how we roll
If you can get me a screenshot of the ad that's doing that I'll make sure that ad is removed immediately.
That's not cool.

I've tested several times but the same ad keeps showing up. Not sure if ad specific or not because I wasn't paying attention to which ad before; however, here is the bad ad.[^]

The same ad here...I did not recognized it before, but I do not see any other ad at all...
