Lift is meant to work around all this. In language-hacker terms, Lift is what's called an "intermediate language," or IL.
Gee, I guess we need a new language to create IL.

Millions of people visiting mainstream websites over the past two months have been exposed to a novel form of malicious ads that embed attack code in individual pixels of the banners. Steganography for the win!
The good news: it only worked against unpatched IE and Flash bugs. So, "no one" would likely be affected.

Ad-Block and No-Flash are lifesavers. Not only weba navigation is 10 times faster, but there are no unwanted sounds coming off your speakers while the browser is unresponsive thanks to a thousand Flash stains on a single tab.
Just with those two plugins antivirusses becomes largely superfluous.

Still enjoying tremendous demand for their skills, mobile coders and Big Data specialists are set to command the highest developer-related salaries next year, according to a new report from careers firm Robert Half Technology. Sessile big data devs less so
That's a coelenterate joke. Never enough of them.

In June, Microsoft became the first tech giant to take the leap into legal weed. Hmmm. To make a joke about Windows 10, or The Cloud. Oh, decisions.

In a study, users who customized an online news portal based on their personal interests were less systematic in processing the information on that portal compared to those who modified the site as directed by the researchers. But it's *my* fake news

The Wendelstein 7-X reactor, which uses a complex design called a stellerator, is performing just like it was predicted to. Now that Snap! song is stuck in my head
And maybe now yours as well. Mwahahahaha!

current fusion reactors, including the W7-X, are still not efficient enough to produce more energy than they use. However...
Hmm. I think it still is a step in the right direction though.

agree.
Energy compensation / gain still is a problem, yes. But get it working as expected without blowing something up was unthinkable a couple of years ago.
I hope they get some more steps in the right direction, the world is "kind of needing" this technology.
