More than 90% of online populations now incorporate emojis and emoticons into their texts and emails, and researchers are wondering what the use of (~_^), (>_<), or =D can reveal about human behavior. I wonder what these studies have to say about human behaviour

Why do people use smileys? Because smiles make the world go around!
Here, have another!

Yes, because before there were emojis and computers, people never doodled or drew smiles in their snail mail. What's a picture worth, again?
Doodling is the oldest form of written communication, for ****'s sake. Go visit the pyramids.
The entire Chinese language (of which the Japanese use a cheap knock-off) is made up of doodles. How is an emoji any different to every other word in their languages?

Google Contributor, the service that let you pay fractions of pennies to remove Google-served ads from websites, is being shut down in mid-January 2017. When you have to Google the service they're shutting down, I guess there's a reason

People have always questioned whether money can buy happiness. But does the rise or fall of your paycheck change the workplace factors that are most important to you? I'm willing to experiment on this
In one direction, anyway

However, as today’s trends quickly bleed into tomorrow’s standards for development, it’s paramount that software architects become change agents within their organizations by putting into practice the “unspoken” side of their skill set: communication and people skills. It's how to lie with a whiteboard, isn't it?

"Zuckerberg told the court he was unaware of whether Oculus founder Palmer Luckey signed an nondisclosure agreement with ZeniMax, nor did he know of one of Oculus' co-founders Nate Miller getting information from ZeniMax."
Seems Zuckerberg may have some explaining to do to stockholders. (And we know Zuckerberg stole Facebook from Lyle.)

A fired IT employee took his revenge on a for-profit online college before he left, changing a password on an account that stored email and course material for 2,000 students, the Indianapolis-based online school has alleged in a lawsuit. I bet that's not going on his resume
