Yup debugging on the production server, always the fastest way to find a problem.
Can you even create/afford a development environment for this type of system?

"The cloud", epitome of decentralization. So much centralized that a single mistake brough it down. Let's speak clearly: it's only a buzzword.

You need to prove you've read the article before you can talk about it. Maybe I should have posted this in Bugs and Suggestions?

Enough of the anti-COBOL rants.

Maybe CP should use that for me. As it is, I typically get only about 2 or 3 sentences into some stupid opinion-piece ignorant blog post before coming back here to rant about it.

Workaround:
Read the article, then go to the CP Lounge to bitch about it.
Before you reply to this posting:
How many typos did I have to correct, whilst typing it?
a. 3
b. 5
c. 12
d. Can I use a calculator?

Probably an American football or basketball player.
Those seem to be the havens for weird names.

Note: I didn't read the article before posting this, because you foolishly did not include a quiz.

Harsh! Don't you like the Thing reference at least?
Ok, I'll fall back on my, "slow news day, and I really wanted to balance the count between the main categories" plea.

Yes, that was cute. A friend of mine once defined the word "cute" as meaning "nice but useless." Unfortunately, the context there was when I told him that my gf said that I was "cute." Ahhh, the teenage years.

Any Kiwis here?
Just curious what "the truth" is about Wellington.

Kiwis are biased. As an Aussie who discovered NZ some years ago and go there every year I can only rate it very highly. Fantastic fishing and generally great outdoors. NZ is big in software development especially games. Wellington (Windy Wellington) ain't bad. 30% of Wellington's population have a University degree. I would think working there for a few years would be a good experience for a certain type of person. This is the official blurb: [^]
