Now 20 years since launching from Earth, and after 13 years orbiting the ringed planet, Cassini is running low on fuel. In 2010, NASA decided to end the mission with a purposeful plunge into Saturn this year in order to protect and preserve the planet's moons for future exploration—especially the potentially habitable Enceladus. "Now cracks a noble heart. Goodnight, sweet prince; And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest."

So, instead of doing something useful, like flying it past a moon, they're just going to crash it into a gas giant?
What an eminently scientific course of action to take.
I'd prefer less GTA, and more Physics.

The company offers to implant its workers and startup members with microchips the size of grains of rice that function as swipe cards: to open doors, operate printers, or buy smoothies with a wave of the hand. What a revelation! In case they get lost, they can be returned to their rightful owner

So, what happens when you leave the company?
Option 1: They remove the microchip.
Option 2: They leave it in and update their servers to deny access.
With option 1, the phrase "scarred for life" takes on a whole new meaning!
With option 2, and with a dozen job changes over a lifetime, you could have quite a few of these things stuck in your arm by the time you retire!
