If I edit a forum message, and press the "Cancel" button, I get the "OK / Cancel" alert, but neither button cancels the edit - the only ways out are to commit the changes or close the page.

Ignore this: it looks like it fails, but it doesn't - it only happens if I right click "Edit" and select "open in a new tab". So obviously, it has no "Back" page to go to...

Does "Cancel" cancel the edit, or cancel the cancelling of the edit?

the typical conversion to clickety when posting a link has failed in several messages of mine today. I had to build the link manually.
Not a big deal, just wondering if only on my end or something is going on.

FireFox ESR 52.2.0 (32-Bit) here
Got updated today... probably something in our Group Policies is messing things up. I don't get the popup to choose "paste as is, quote and so on"

Are you able to use a different browser, or maybe one at home?

at home is not a problem at all.
We have FireFox ESR 52.2.0 (32-Bit) at work.
I don't get links and I don't get the paste pop-up for "quote / paste as is /..." and so on.
I have been able to use it before the update, so I guess it is not on your side but in mine with the group policies, I think they have deactivated something.
Thanks for asking anyways

Build into the Q&A posting a mechanism to compare the question with the 'what I have tried'. If the code is posted in the question and then reposted in 'what I have tried', a foul looking beast appears when they try to submit it, reminding them perhaps, that coding isn't for everyone, and then redirecting them to a random social networking site (or stackoverflow). Similar treatment for just reposting the same text message in both places.
A good place for some HTML audio, perhaps, rather than one of those meme thingies.

And that's the kind of post that causes me to proudly connect to CP (most days).
P.S.: Glad you made good use of the 'new' (dare I say my?) icons, already, posted elsewhere.

Just to be clear here:
Send in the Beast if the code posted in the "what have I tried" is just a cut and paste of the entire question, or merely appears as part of the question?

Do you use voice control on your smart phone?
With the proliferation of various voice control systems, Cortana, Alexa, Bixby and there are probably others, do users actually use the voice control service.

While posting questions related to Azure U-SQL, we should have a tag for U-SQL.
Currently we have only Azure tag. Posting a question with this tag can be confusing.
This will help us to understand questions more easily.
Thanks,

In Q&A, sometimes, reputation point for a solution do not showup. Is there a bug ?
When I post a solution in Q&A, the solution always get recorded without problem (well, when server not busy), but sometimes the reputation points do not showup.
This just happened again 5 hours ago with this solution:
Single quote issue in C# dataset[^]
This happen on a regular basis in the 2-3 first hours on Sundays, it happened 2 times this sunday. Server time, that makes between 6 and 8 AM in France.

If the forum was working like Q&A (updated questions move to top), I would certainly had updated it.
The first post was about the problem happening specifically on Sunday morning on a regular basis for months if not years. I have always suspected some kind of backup secondary effect even id solution is never lost.
For the second, I was surprised to get the same problem on a weekday.

Early Sunday morning is maintenance time, so if something's going to fail it will fail then.
We have retry logic but the maintenance that goes on at 2AM is thorough and painful, and can outlast our retry efforts.
Sorry.

Hi Chris,
Thank for explanation.
Note that when I post solution on early Sunday morning, the solution always succeed, the fail, when it happen is always on reputation points, it looks like the reputation part is particularly weak.
