I've just posted a solution to a Q&A question and notice a different rep point total displayed on the answer when compared with the total rep points in the page header, even after a page refresh.
The header shows 31.1K (tip: 31,141) but the answer shows 31.2K (tip: "Total reputation points). So it is unclear what the difference is.
To take a guess, it appears that the answer rep point total is adding the value of the votes + answer value to the total rep points before rounding...
Is this by design?

Hi Graeme,
I have noticed it many times, I guess the Points in the page(top right corner) takes some time (approx 5-10 mins) to refresh the total actual points, where as the points being displayed under our answers and also in the profile page points are reflecting immediately.
dont know whether it is a bug or designed in that way.

I have too, just thought that I would raise the question...

I tried to vote a 5 stars on the following article -- while including a comment -- and both times it failed:
Working with JSON in C# & VB[^]
I saw the page post, but then there is no history of the vote (or comment) or any history in my own activity.
Thanks,

At least as of now:
I voted. Posted a comment, then deleted it.
No points posting - not even the once/day point for showing up. Neither the post, to this forum, a couple of minutes, ago.
Generally choked or did my deleting my post dig up a new bug?

How is this sort of thing allowed? Both browsers completely stoppedGob with CPU @ 75%.
(just curious but very dizzy)

No issues here. Loaded instantly. FF 55.0.3 on Win10.
Bad network connection?

Ok so I don't seem to be able to login via MS edge? Chrome, Firefox and IE11 work but Edge is crapping out. The issue seems to have started today? (haven't actually login in edge since Friday)

It’s hard to believe a site run by and for programmers is so buggy! The layout is random (as mentioned in an earlier post, regards how messages are displayed), and sometimes the content is nicely centred on a full width page, and other times it’s full-width; sometimes the left menu (on discussion board pages) is its proper width, at others it’s squeezed into half an inch. The site is barely usable half the time.
Maybe you should call some experts in....

You must be looking at your screen through the bottom of a coke bottle. This is one of the best laid out and maintained sites on the internet. 47,000+ people online now are more than happy with it.

I guess I must be imagining it all then.

Rather than just posting a rant try explaining clearly exactly what the problem is. When does it happen, what browser (and version) are you using, is this on a PC, mac, tablet, phone etc? Get some screenshots and send them direct to Chris and he will take any action necessary.

Well, I did describe the issues, in this post and an earlier one. I suppose I didn't go into too much detail as I assumed I can't be the only one affected... maybe I'll try and get some screenshots in due course, but seems as though not all styles are being loaded, and/or user settings (cookies?) on all occasions. Mostly on IE11 on a PC.
(And please, please, don't tell me not to use IE, or you will really unleash a rant!)
Anyway, as I say, perhaps I'll try and collate a more detailed report...

A_Griffin wrote: Well, I did describe the issues It was more a set of accusations that the administrators here did not know the first thing about creating a website (read your original message again). As I said, if you have a problem then create a properly detailed description so the issue can be addressed. And lastly, it seems strange that of all the people who are on this site every day, you are the only one to have this problem.
