I dont recall it fully as on clicking it went away.
But it was saying something about the article deletion.

Sorry, but that does not help. Most times when an article gets deleted it will be for a good reason:
- the article is very poor quality
- it is incomplete or not clear
- it is marked as spam, because it contains many links to unknown sites
- it is plagiarised
I cannot find any comments to guess what might be the reason in this case.

There should be some way for the writer to know why his article was rejected. I am asking for that reason so that i can correct it.
I spent almost 5 hours in composing the article to see its being deleted. And now I dont even know what was wrong with it.
It is definitely demoralizing.

Well since you did not keep the information in the message telling you it was deleted there is not much that we can say. When the site administrators get to work they will probably be able to help.

I've edited and reinstated your article.

I am currently editing my long article chapter 11 Programming Windows Via UWP.
It has 17 images and a number of code downloads.
I've just spent 40 minutes hand formatting variable names (highlight, click V button).
I have used the undo button in the past with great success -- even on this article a number of times.
However, I just clicked it once and it removed all my formatting changes, except for 2 or three.
Awwww...man! I know should'a saved this, should'a offline edited it, should'a...
Anyone else ever report that the undo behaves like this?
Just an FYI and blowing off the steam cuz now I gotta go back and spend another 40 minutes to get back to where I was.
Thanks
EDIT - This may have to do with periodic outages from CP so nothing we can do about that,I'm sure.
I'm seeing long delays when I attempt to post. Not complaining, just letting you know.
thanks
EDIT 2
I think the real answer is that I should've saved a draft earlier on. My fault really.

The submission wizard saves a draft every minute, so you should be able to go back to auto-saved versions by viewing the revision history of the article.
We use CKEditor and have essentially stopped attempting to work around the changes and strangenesses of it and of browsers. At one point we tried, but browsers were changing so often it was a pointless task.
All I can do is apologise on behalf of the CKEditor and/or browser manufacturer

I thought so too. That's part of the reason I was confused. I didn't find any other revisions.
It may have been because of some connectivity issues at the same time.
It's okay. I appreciate your help and know that all of this type of stuff cannot really be alleviated.
I'll probably start doing more offline editing until I've got my articles tweaked to almost 100% completeness. That'll probably be best.
Thanks for understanding.
I really appreciate CP and all the work you guys put into this stuff.
Best site around for this.

Please see this item: upload files on new article spins forever - Article Writing Discussion Boards[^]
I cannot upload any files on any article submission form.
Are there some critical issues going on at CP?
Seems like the site is going in and out but even when I get to the site I cannot ever submit images or source, because of the upload button not working.
EDIT
FYI - Just tried in FireFox (Previously in Chrome) and I get the same spinning cursor on Upload
EDIT 2
MS Edge on a completely different computer gives same wait cursor on upload button

I was just wondering again, so thanks for the update.
It's lonely here in this space where I cannot post...and cold too.
Must be a real sticky wicket over there at CP.

We'll need a bit more information than that. Where is the browse button not appearing?

What does this have to do with Article Writing? And exactly which button, and on what page? Please provide proper details if something is not working.

Someone moved the button out back while they were mopping the floor. I'm sure once they are finished they'll put the button back where it will be displayed correctly.
I just hope they put it back facing the right way this time.

Have you noticed that the upload files control is stuck?
This occurs on any New Article I try to create. Is it just me?

Thanks very much for replying. I couldn't tell if it was just my account and was confused.
I'm sure CP Devs are hard at work resolving this issue.

I posted my article at the same moment that CP went down:
Programming Windows 10 Desktop: UWP Focus (10 of N)[^]
The article is on the home page but the source and images are not available and I cannot edit the article now.
If I click update then the default article shows up.
I really appreciate any help. it has 18 images and is a long one
Thanks,

I can't do anything because you're editing it and have a lock on it. I'll take another peek later on
[Edit: If you email me the images I can get them up, though if you're in the article editor then just re-uploading them should get it all sorted, or at least sorted enough that I can take over and fix whatever issues you're having.
Our hosting provider had an outage yesterday and it feels like we're still seeing some slowness as they get things back in order. I've asked them to take a look at the systems and see what's happening.]

I don't believe it is me who has the article in edit mode (locked) but I'm not sure.
I'll try to close all browser windows and see.

"Article was locked for editing by raddevus on 5 Dec 2017. Lock expires in 17 minutes"
I have the images and zips safely stored. Once I can get access to the article I'll do a clean up.

I closed Chrome (browser I was using to edit) entirely.
Well, whenever it lets go, I guess all will be good.
