currently EF do support posting single object (e.g {id: 1, partyCateg: 'Assetts' } )
public IHttpActionResult Post([FromBody] tbl_PartyCateg categs)
{
return Created(categs);
}
What I want is to send array of Objects. tbl_PartyCateg[]
[
{
id: 11,
PartyCateg: "SomeValue1"
},
{
id: 11,
PartyCateg: "SomeValue1"
}
]
When I post above data via postman I got empty categs on server side.
Where I'm Wrong.

I'm trying to use Vaxin Security on Microsoft Server 2016, i am using the SDK and getting an error on installation.
"Cannot verify hashes"
their support say it has to do with my local ssl certificate.
anybody have the same issue?

I've never seen the product, but local x509 certificate issues are generally related to not having access to a certificate store or, if the application needs access to the private key, access to the key itself.
I'd review the product documentation, make sure which key store the x509 needed to be in, and verify the required permissions for the account running the application.

So I'm writing my Angular App. Currently I would write a backend to say create a portfolio of pictures. But I might go back and make it to where you just login and do it on the front side. I could see where users, messages should be on the backside.
Just wondering what you think, in terms of designing a modern app, what should go where.
When I did the portfolio on the front side, more customers participated in creating them. Now that I have it on the backend, nobody uses it.
If it ain't broke don't fix it

You need to explain more about what is not working.
|
|
|
|
|
i mean some sections are not working responsively.i can send you the file..
|
|
|
|
|
Once again we cannot guess what sections, or exactly what you mean by "not working responsively". I repeat my previous comment: if you want help then you need to provide proper details of your problem.

i mean section like price-plans section the box are not size uniformly sized when it reachs near to 800 pixels . And the padding in the price-plan sectionb gets also disappeared as i also give the padding from 760px .And the contact section also starts to disappear from 800px. And at 460px it is pushed to left as it can,t be seen..

Hi, here's a question: I dynamicly create controllers. I put them in the folder Controllers and all is well. For one thing: I can't use them because they are not yet "Include in Project". When I do this manually, it works fine, but that is not the idea.
So, how to do this final part also 'dynamic'. What do I need to add to my code
|
|
|
|
|
Impossible to answer without knowing how your controller selection is being processed, how you're generating them, and what the technologies involved are.

Really? Wll this is how I create a controller
String[] controllerFile = { "using System;",
"using System.Collections.Generic; ",
"using System.IO;",
"using System.Web;",
"using System.Web.Mvc;",
"using Queeste.BusinessLogic;",
"using Queeste.BusinessEntities;",
" ",
"namespace Queeste.GUI.Controllers",
"{",
" public class " + controllerFileName + " : Controller",
" {",
" MenuItemsManager menuItemsManager = new MenuItemsManager(); ",
"",
" public ActionResult Index()",
" {",
" ViewBag.MenuItems = menuItemsManager.GetMenuItems(); ",
" ",
" return View();",
" }",
" }",
"}"};
string controllerPath = @path\Controllers\" + controllerName;
System.IO.File.WriteAllLines(controllerPath, controllerFile, Encoding.UTF8);
This very morning, I found another solution to solve my problem, so it's not needed to solve this. But, it would be nice to know for future development.
Thanks for your reply.

Okay, so it's C# and leveraging the MVC.NET stack, which we didn't know when you asked; so we're already in better shape!
I'm glad that you found a solution, but I don't think that I would ever advise this approach unless you're building an application specifically intended to bootstrap simple and tiny CRUD applications, but that doesn't appear to be your intent.
From a code/extensibility standpoint, a better approach might be to generate controllers at runtime from your models. I was going to give an approach, but I found a very solid one at: Generic and dynamically generated controllers in ASP.NET Core MVC | StrathWeb. Have a look at Approach #2, it's a little complex but infinitely extensible and plays nicely with the ecosystem.

Hi everyone! I'm just starting with web development and I am currently trying to recreate the Billboard website (in a way). I already have the basics and got the data from a mysql database and had them ordered the way I want to by reading a lot of internet articles and tutorials.
Problem is, I don't know how to format it properly, the way I want it to. I have resized the photo elements and that's it.
Here's my index page:
<div class="content">
<?php
$result = mysqli_query($con, "SELECT * FROM singles ORDER BY sales DESC;");
$produceByType = array();
while ($row = mysqli_fetch_array($result)) {
$produceByType[ $row['title'] ][] = $row;
}
?>
<table>
<?php
$counter=1;
foreach ($produceByType as $title => $produce):
?>
<tr>
<th colspan="9"></th>
</tr>
<?php
foreach ($produce as $row): ?>
<tr class="rowHolder">
<td class="number"><?= $counter?></td>
<td class="activity"><img src="<?php echo $row['activity'] ?>" ?></td>
<td class="artwork"><img src="<?php echo $row['artwork'] ?>" ?></td>
<td style="display:inline-block;"class="title"><?= $row['title'] ?></td>
<td style="display:block;"class="artist"><?= $row['artist'] ?></td>
<td style="width:20px;"class="buttonExpand"><img src="assets/images/expand.png"></td>
</tr>
<tr class="additionalHolder">
<td class="lastWeek"><?= $row['last'] ?></td>
<td class="peak"><?= $row['peak'] ?></td>
<td class="woc"><?= $row['woc'] ?></td>
<td class="sales"><?= $row['sales'] ?></td>
<td class="tSales"><?= $row['tSales'] ?></td>
</tr>
<?php
$counter++;
endforeach;
endforeach; ?>
</table>
</div>
and my css:
*{
font-family: "Poppins", sans-serif;
}
body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
.header {
padding: 25px 0;
background-color: #000;
}
.bblogo img{
display: block;
width:200px;
margin-left: auto;
margin-right: auto;
}
.nav {
padding: 15px 0;
background-color: #333333;
position: -webkit-sticky;
}
.nav .item{
text-decoration: none;
color: white;
padding-right: 30px;
}
.nav .item:hover{
text-decoration: underline;
}
.nav .active{
color: #6b6b6b;
text-decoration: none;
padding-right: 30px;
}
.header, .nav {
text-align: center;
color: #fff;
}
.content {
width: 600px;
margin: 10px auto 100px;
}
.sticky {
position: fixed;
width: 100%;
left: 0;
top: 0;
z-index: 100;
border-top: 0;
}
.artwork img{
width: 110px;
}
.activity img{
width:40px;
}
.buttonExpand img{
width: 20px;
}
.content{
text-align: center;
}
.title{
width: 30px
border-top: 20px;
}
I'm still pretty new to do this so please go easy on me.
(For reference, you can look at numbers 2-100 here: Top 100 Songs | Billboard Hot 100 Chart | Billboard[^] .)
Thank you everyone. If you also can suggest me some books I can read and articles, I'm open to suggestions.
