If they won't build a border wall could we have some of that money to put up some cubicle walls please?

I turned down a 6-figure job once, simply and only because they had an "open-office", featuring a very large floor with a couple dozen large round tables that sat 6 employees each. The noise was deafening, even though few people were talking.

That's similar to a contract I turned down.
That one had straight tables, arranged as if they were putting on a wedding reception, with two low-level managers sitting in the centre of the top table, and team leaders either side of them.
I actually laughed out loud, right before I walked out.

Microsoft, the tech powerhouse once maligned as the “evil empire,” is engaged in a radical shift, taking on the mantle of corporate responsibility and civic leadership. Think of how much money they're not spending on lawyers these days

TBH, I think I'd be happier if they were to take on the mantle of software house, since that's all they are, and start doing that one job right, before "diversifying" into yet more vanity projects.

Agreed - I'm always about their hardware efforts. They seem to give up on most of them far too fast (keyboards and mice not included).

Good old-fashioned SQL still rules the database roost, though popular offerings in the NoSQL camp are closing the gap, while MySQL is the most popular of the whole bunch. For those that prefer their made up numbers to be SELECT

We would like to update you on the .NET Core 3.0 schedule and introduce you to improvements in .NET Core SDK installers, Docker containers, Range, and Index. We also have updates on the Windows Desktop and Entity Framework projects. This release brought to you by the number '3'

After careful reading I am little confused but hopeful.
Does that mean I can install Preview3 and that when the public release of .NET Core 3 is available everything should start working with it nicely and my preview SDK won't be a problem (Except wasted disk space)?

|

IANAL (or PM), but that's what it sounds like to me - when you install the gold version, it will overwrite the preview version.
However, they didn't say the magic words, "feature complete" that I could tell, so function signatures and whatnot may still change between now and then.
Not helpful, I know, sorry.

Users of mobile devices in 2018 faced what could be the strongest cybercriminal onslaught ever seen. Over the course of the year, we observed both new mobile device infection techniques (for example, DNS hijacking) and a step-up in the use of tried-and-tested distribution schemes (for example, SMS spam). Mobile is the new Windows?
