Couldn't agree more. In a world that's convinced that all Greeks are Socrates because Socrates is a Greek, basic logic would be far more useful than bloody Javascript.

The amount of data that the big cloud computing providers now store is staggering, so it’s no surprise that most store all of this information as compressed data in some form or another — just like you used to zip your files back in the days of floppy disks, CD-ROMs and low-bandwidth connections. Decompression available separately?

With researchers suggesting that 'sitting is the new smoking,' sit-stand desks (SSD) have become a common tool to quell sedentary behavior in an office environment. As this furniture becomes ubiquitous, conflicting opinions have arisen on its effectiveness. I'm still waiting for my recumbent desk to be delivered

I don't know about "sitting is the new smoking", but I'm pretty sure that "talking bollocks like that is the new w@nking".

We've had them for a couple of months.
Originally about 50% of people would use them in stand-mode for at least a portion of the day.
Needless to say, that figure has now reached 0%.

More and more companies want to use continuous integration and continuous delivery, but with so many programs to use, it's really confusing knowing where to start. The new Continuous Delivery Foundation wants to help. There once was a dev named Lee, who wanted to do CI/CD...
His code wouldn't compile,
Nor did his pages have style,
But he shared it all continuously

Do we *really* need another foundation to push an agenda?

We need that question to be bolted to the head of anyone that tries to create a new foundation. And the answer is almost always going to be 'no'.

Who moved to the UK, in Kent
On a trip to the North
Just past the Firth of Forth
He was shocked to find that he was kent

So bad it was a crime
And he batted it out of the park
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Low-code adoption is beginning to pick up as the demands to deliver software faster starts to weigh on businesses. Because that's just what professional developers have been asking for - less code

While businesses need to rapidly transform themselves digitally to remain competitive, they cannot afford to sacrifice the quality, differentiation and security of the apps and experiences they build,” said Arnal Dayaratna, research director for IDC Lots of keywords for our buzzword-forum, but if you quantify correctly, the statement contains 0 information and all bullshit.
In order to be competitive, companies cut quality and security. Security is blamed on the programmer, where it is the company that decides the strategy and pays for all stuff being done (and deciding what is not done).
Rapid changing industries do not mean that the code has to change rapidly, and we have years in experience in making stuff dynamic, instead of static.
Aw, and the low-code platform? Already beaten by much cheaper (and already present in your IDE) code generation.

"digital experiences"
What in the wide world of sports are those?
Regardless, I much prefer analog experiences since they involve, you know, your senses and stuff like that.
