If the world revolved around tossing, I would be worried.
Let it be noted that I'm not sure that the word "tossing" has the same connotations in the rest of the English-speaking world, so I won't be going into the potential involvement of pron sites in this venture.

In their paper published in the journal Royal Society Open Science, Francis Mollica and Steven Piantadosi describe applying information theory to add up the amount of data needed to store the various parts of the English language. Barely more than a floppy. Which may explain some people's difficulty with it.
I'd have thought the exceptions to "i before e, except after c" alone could fill a CD.

Well,
But it's a really good read. I enjoyed reading how they explored the problem and how they come up with the estimates. Even though I see no real-world value in the results. I found the python source code here.
Btw it looks like the journalist at Medical XPress didn't read or understand the paper. The paper actually describes a space-efficient method for storing 20,000 to 80,000 "wordforms" with a data range of 1.5 Mb to 5.0 Mb. That should have been the title of the paper.
Best Wishes,

There is a fundamental error : the brain does not store anything in bytes. I doubt the information is even in binary form.

Modern enterprises need to be agile because customers, requirements, the opportunity of data and the capability of technology all provide an endless array of opportunity. Yoga mats instead of whiteboards?

Any piece of absolute sh1t who says that you should hire people according to their knowledge and abilities of Agile obviously doesn't know cr@p about agile working.

Actually, "agile" isn't the answer. Proper design and implementation of software (making *it* agile), along with the ability and committment to identify when your software needs a rewrite is the answer. The benefit of a rewrite is that you have a software model that you know is deficient, but that gives you a starting point for a fresh look at the problem, along with a better understanding of the users' needs within the application's domain.

I agree. I think it should more of a design goal then a process. In my opinion a process doesn't buy you anything if your design is flawed in the first place. This is why I prefer a "think twice, write once" approach instead of repeated iterations which is essentially a machine gun approach that hopes you hit the target eventually.

If microsoft is involved I seriously doubt it will actually be open. For example, they will probably demand XML be used in a form that they have patented so this "open" format means royalties to them for using their stuff. This would be exactly like what Rambus did with DDR RAM several years ago.
Pardon my cynicism but they have earned it.
