So we're going back to the DOS + Win 3.1 days, but they think they're inventing something new.

Now if they would only create a Windows 7 Shell to go on top of the core O/S.
All my complaints about Windows 10 boil down to shell activities, the basic O/S is more or less the same as Windows 7.
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

Cassie Kozyrkov has served in various technical roles at Google over the past five years, but she now holds the somewhat curious position of “chief decision scientist.” Decision science sits at the intersection of data and behavioral science and involves statistics, machine learning, psychology, economics, and more. By adding some good old-fashioned Natural Stupidity to it?
Chief Decision Scientist. /sigh
As someone who has had more than my share of stupid job titles, that one is really pretentious.
I guess it is better than my current: "apprentice waffling doofus"

No wonder Google is having problems; one person has to make decisions for the entire company.

I'm pretty sure that would be an improvement, were that true

Sure, but "pseudophotosynthesis" doesn't really have a ring to it, and it certainly doesn't roll off the tongue (of anyone who isn't the worst kind of pr0n star) -- but one main main advantage is that it's almost a full tweet on its own, thus limits rabid comments from a certain-coloured person who lives in a certain-coloured house.
Still, I'm sure that a better name could be found for the process.

Look, I experience something like smart indigo which you would also deny because of your limited knowledge but it becomes a big success story I think same happens with the article in question.
[Edit]
For me it looks like...
It seems you have no idea about this aspect but you comment as if you had one. Do not do this in the future.

The basic meaning of "pseudo" is "false". Since this process actually creates something real, but from a man-made artificial process, I would propose the term "artificialphotosynthesis" or some such. But, maybe that exposes my ignorance, perhaps "psuedo" also means "artificial"?

"Pseudo" means "sort of"*, sort of, but "artificial" means "man made" ("made by artifice").
You're getting closer with your proposal, though, because it has more syllables -- all we need is to Americanise it a bit, with a suffix like "~ication".
* I was going to be horrible, and say "pseudo" quasi means "quasi", sort of, but I think something's wrong with my brain, today. I'm being far too nice.

Hmm, according to googlification psuedo means what I said... sigh.
Actually quasi seems closer to the desired goal since it's not true photosynthesis (wait "not true" = "false" == "pseudo"... lol ... so maybe you're right) but produces oil rather than sugar....
so maybe quasihydrophotosynthefication

Pseudo = "something not quite the same as the thing it is named after/identified with/associated with" -- in this case, "not quite the same as photosynthesis". This can include "fake", true, but the fact that an IF statement can include an ELSE statement does not mean that an IF statement is an ELSE statement.
And for the sake of Alberto the Merciful, never believe a word you read on wikipedia!

But any source that says "not a dodecahedron" is the only definition is a source that's not to be trusted*.

Are we done, here?
You're not telling me anything I don't already know, and you're showing a remarkably silly narrowness by ignoring the full definition and only giving credence to the parts of it that you want to promote.
I don't own the English language, and I'm a highly educated master of it.
You would do well not to claim ownership of it in my presence.

You were trying to force your preference.
People have been trying to do that with the English language for about 180 years, and it's no more right or justifiable now than it has been for all that time.
Words mean what they mean, not what one person wants them to mean.

I was not trying to force my preference. I have no preference. I don't actually care. I was merely trying to show my understanding of "pseudo" is A correct understanding of the several ways of reading it. That is all.
Bye.
And there's a funny thing about language and words. They evolve and change over time. Something, I'm sure you're aware of being the expert on the English language that you are.
