Yes, but we get several thousand billion photons a day from Titan; we can see what it's made of, and we can "hear" the rest of the electromagnetic spectrum that's bouncing off it.
They are, typically, basing a "great revelation" on a couple of hundred photons a day, which:
0. Are reflected from and distorted by a very nearby star.
1. Have passed through God-only-knows-what in the twelve light years between us and them.
No-one on their right (as in "honorable") mind would declare with any certainty that there are even planets there, let alone that they could support life.

Keyboards have had a dedicated Windows key for decades, and now it looks like Microsoft is at least considering adding one for Office. Because starting Excel is haaaaaaarrrrrrd

ms said: The concept was spotted in a survey form asking users for feedback related to the Office key. That's "a survey form", as in "one" -- but I'll bet even that is an exaggeration, and the only place it appears is in a question ("Do you want an Office button?", to which everyone replied "Are you out of your f***ing minds?!?") (I paraphrase, of course.)
"Never mind fixing the things that have been broken for years, or fixing any of the things that we've broken with each update -- that's tooooo boring! Let's add something new that no-one wants, and that will break even more things!"
"Oh, and we haven't had a new icon for WEEKS! We need to work on that! Nine-hour brainstorming session in my office, tomorrow! We can set a series of planning meetings for it after that."

I look down at my keyboard.
"Oh hey, there is a right windows key as well."
Look at (likly mock) image.
"Oh hey, they using the right windows key position for that office key."
conclusion.
I should be using the right windows key more often when locking my keyboard instead of two hands or stretching to the left windows key.

Meanwhile I still have 12 F-keys at the top of my keyboard that are under utilized.

With .NET Core 3.0 Preview 6 out the door, we thought it would be useful to take a brief look at the history of our infrastructure systems and the significant improvements that have been made in the last year or so. Large projects are like sausages. You should never see them made.
Oh, they *do* still code in Redmond. I thought they were now a 100% icon-oriented shop.
Worth it for the dependency diagram, I think.

You mean the dependency diagram encoded with a lossy JPG encoding that means the text is barely legible, if at all. Right.

Yes, but those assembly codes and date stamps had to be squeezed in somewhere or the whole diagram wouldn't make any sense ...

Docker has realized that Microsoft's new Windows Subsystem for Linux 2 has made Windows much more attractive both to Docker and its container developers for both Windows and Linux platforms. Two great things that might work well together?
I struggle to care about either, but some of you might.

OK, serious question:
Does anyone actually need either of these cross-OS subsystems?
