MY GOD!
THAT'S SO SCARY!!!
And it also happens to be one of the reasons why anyone with more than three brain cells set the default e-mail-opening option as plain text, 20-odd years ago.

Idle's easy; it's the "rich" bit that can take a bit of work.

Giving new meaning to #InternetOfShit
Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, weighing all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

Benchmarks reveal better connection speeds and smaller memory footprint for Rustls library, compared to OpenSSL. You mean starting from scratch they were able to build something better?

Remember that it's ZDNET, so they're probably just setting groundwork for a horror story, later.

This feature allows Microsoft to slowly roll out new features without releasing entirely new builds. Their features have been out of control until now.

I suppose they test is as they did until now... Rolling it out to the users without asking for permission and letting them to beta test the "improvements"

It's really remarkable how long they've been going on adding "new features" that, for the most part, have been completely worthless to 99% of windows users, but which break functionality that 99% of windows users found useful.
My migration to linux has begun. I don't mind being given "New, Great Features!" that I don't need, but the fact that every New, Great Feature breaks ten "older, but more efficient and less distracting features" has gone too far beyond the pale.

Do "10x" engineers even exist? What are they? And what makes them? I make up for 10x developers by being a 0.1x developer
OK, 0.01x most of the time.

This rather left me wondering what the hell "10X" means. As far as I can tell it comes from one of those awful "Life and How to Live It" books postulating the amazingly deep and innovative theory that people who work ten times harder than normal people get more done.
As far as this article goes, 10X seems to have been simplified (if such a thing is even possible) to mean "really good", in which case, why not just use the phrase "really good" rather than misappropriating some silly proto-buzzword?
