It’s hard to deny that Microsoft is letting its tablet mode die on the vine. It works fine as a tablet, as long as you also have a keyboard

But their desktop UI will remain 87% tablet/phone UI, undoubtedly.
Or they could 'fess up fully, and get rid of all the baby blocks, ribbons, title-bar-less windows, button-less buttons, and other cr@p that they introduced solely and only to emulate the tablet/phone interfaces of other companies' tablets and phones -- and all of which have been shown, time and time again, to cause major productivity hits and a huge loss of focus.

Why then, do we read of agile’s death? Three reasons: phony ads, misunderstanding ordinary movement of ideas through society, and looking at the wrong curves. Agile needs braaaaaaaaains

I'll get locked later.

In yet another victory for the machines this week, Microsoft detailed an AI system — Super Phoenix, or Suphx for short — capable of besting champions at Mahjong. Did it also learn how to play while drinking heavily?
Or maybe it's just the people I know that play it.

A new report shows that businesses continue to use older operating systems such as Windows 7, and even Windows Vista, even though they are no longer supported and less secure compared to Windows 10. If you're happy and you know it, keep using Weven
It's the people still using Vista that I feel for.
I suspect these will be "updated" when the hardware gets replaced.

Once upon a time there was Weven, and everyone was happy, and the world was a wonderful place.
Then ms fixed it.

They better hope the decrypting works - this is how companies immediately declare bankruptcy.
Years ago, a customer of mine contracted with a local telco firm for IP services - internet, phones, etc. Monday morning came and nothing was working, so a support call was made. The recording:
"We are aware of the current issue facing our customers and are working to correct the problem. Please be patient."
That was in the morning. By Monday afternoon, the phone number had been disconnected. Turns out that the company never bothered to backup their switching system and what not. Over the weekend it crashed. They instantly declared bankruptcy.
That reminds me, I need to do backups
