I think it would actually happen the opposite, internet in those places would just help to "government" to keep population even more repressed.
I mean... Propaganda, disinformation, blocking real information, cat videos...

The new mobile app, which is now out in beta for iOS, with Android support coming soon, offers all of the basic features you’d want from a mobile app like this Now you can break the build with your phone
Not entirely sure how it differs from just using the website, but there you go.

Brave promises to prioritize security by blocking third-party ads, trackers, and autoplay videos automatically. A non-Chrome based browser? How brave of them.
and because they don't seem to have a link in the article, it's at brave.com (natch)

Except they moved to Chromium last December October.

and will they really manage to be that private using chromium?
It would not be that surprise if chromium was like facebook API (sending data back even if you don't want to)

How'd they manage to garner that URL? Must have cost a fortune in bribes, payoffs, and domain registration.

Everyone involved had simply grossly underestimated the challenge of carrying out computer operations in space. So much for my idea of filling a rocket with iPhones

More than any other industry, technology companies prioritize ethical issues important to most Americans, according to a study released Tuesday from Forbes and the non-profit research group Just Capital. How the times have changed
I agree on Facebook, though

Ethic was removed of the list of skills of big players in this branch long time ago. There is only "shine" left, and that is done by the marketing and public relationships departments (maybe legal too). And in some companies those are even bigger than the architecture and development departments

Microsoft would not be nowhere near the top of my list of most ethical companies. I would them down near the bottom with Facialbook.

When mapping out your development career plan, it's important to consider how the specific skill sets that a developer needs have changed. Good thing my career is over as I still think I need these
taaaaa-dah!

That was a pretty ignorant and biased article. Everyone of the skills mentioned are needed if you want to become more than a run-of-the-mill programmer. Even as a web dev (at whom this article seems to be aimed at), you need to have these skills if you want to be a top-notch programmer.
Grrr. What an EYE-DEE-TEN-TEE!
