That's one way to bring computer science into disrepute.

Yes, because Elon Musk isn't flaky at all.

Old news. IBM already simulated a universe using its OS/VU in the '80s.

Quantum computers can solve intractable problems – but they don't always get the answer right. Now, a research team in the UK has developed a way to test to make sure that qubits aren't getting confused. Because there's nothing worse than lying qubits

IBM‘s upcoming “Code and Response” documentary is an hour-long tour-de-force showcasing several developer–activists using technology to mitigate the harm caused by natural disasters. So go ahead: wear your underwear on the outside of your trousers
Or pants on the outside of your pants to get both sides of the Atlantic irritated with me.

A new vulnerability has been found in the Camera apps for millions, if not hundreds of millions, of Android devices that could allow other apps to record video, take pictures, and extract GPS data from media without having the required permissions. "I always feel like somebody's watching me"

No one likes an office whistler or pen clicker – but for some people, these noises aren’t just a nuisance, they’re a full-blown aural assault. Why? "They'll bang on tong-tinglers, blow their foo-flounders, they'll crash on jang-jinglers, and bounce on boing-bounders!"
Headphones. Must. have. headphones. (and music)

Being able to ignore noise hardly qualifies one for such a post.
If you can't handle the clicking of a pen, imagine this; a coworker at the last office had this radio, and I found myself sometimes singing along with it. With one song containing the line "I'm a psycho killer", which I would shout. The coworker took over the habit of shouting the same during that line of the song.
Must have been very worrying for our manager, especially if customers near

Computer users for example spend most of their time repeating the same motion such as typing at the keyboard, maneuvering the mouse, and swiping on touchscreens. These seemingly innocent gestures when done thousands of times a day are precisely what lead to disabilities such as carpal tunnel and musculoskeletal disorders. Keep them working, and you can keep working.

They say “performance is king’… It was true a decade ago and it certainly is now. With more and more data the world generates each day, we need more and more computing power to process it. You mean it's more than just checking the 'optimize code' checkbox?
