Whilst still in the not-yet stage, perhaps it might be a good idea to be able to make comments that neither reward nor penalize the post.
Also - while I have your attention - maybe something, like a question mark, to signify "what in the world are you talking about?"
Another, possibly also of value, might be a "wait until you are sober" - but that's a bit more judgemental then I'd care to be.
But, for-really real real, consider what non-point-related comments could contribute.

I'm curious as to what problem this fixes. Now we have and even "incorrect!" on posts, which will be used by anonymous drive-by shooters who don't have the pair to state their opinion openly.

Greg Utas wrote: which will be used by anonymous drive-by shooters who don't have the pair to state their opinion openly. Well, I think your observation is correct.
On the other hand, maybe it will satisfy them instead of the down vote?
So, if and when it's fully unleashed, let us see how it rolls out. In a way, my main interest in the reputation points is more accurately taken care of by this feature.

Yeah, a little pizazz is needed to reflec the action for sure, and yes, the tick (and all others) display will be updated.
A quick note for the others:
The purpose of these is to allow someone to throw out a LOL, or "yeah, nice" 👍 without needing to post a 1 or 2 word response. The Correct / Incorrect reactions are a bit experimental. Maybe you upvote an answer in the forums, maybe you tick it as correct. Either / both are fine. Do we need both? Maybe not, but it's an easy change.
The thumbs up/thumbs down are more about a personal opinion (I agree / disagree) rather than a reflection of the quality (1 = poor post, 5 = great post). Again this might be too subtle for the forums, and the answer is to simply remove the "upvote" feature on community forums like the lounge.

I dunno - that's actually handy: you can tell at a glance if people like it because it's green, you don't have to open it to check a "reactions count"

I've hardwired it to go green for 10 thumbs-up. I will probably add grey for 10 thumbs down. Further, I can move the reaction count summary to be on the subject line when the counts are high enough to warrant that.

Doesn't that just bring back the old problem for which downvoting was removed from the Lounge a long time ago?

I spontaneously like the "Correct" and "Incorrect" ones.
But please change the heart to a rose, there's a slim chance I will declare my never ending love to someone in the forum.
I'm also not very fond of having a constant smiley on the left side of every post, like as if every post is a joke. I don't have a better suggestion though.

Yeah - I'm still playing with the emojis. Literally any Unicode emoji you think is appropriate can go there. A string is a string...
The smiley on the side? Yeah. I'm using an emoji there but I think a custom image will have to do instead.

Much better thank you very much!
Just some food for thought, should it be possible to mark more than one reaction?

Only I have no idea what it does, or how I might access it ... any hints?

A minor problem, depending on how good our eyesight is. Have a look at the lower right of your post immediately above. The superscript "1" makes the thumbsup look like a rather less desirable emoji.
